{II. Driver Installation}
Supported operating systems: Windows 10, 8 or 7 Mac OS X 10.10 or above Notes (1). Uninstall any existing tablet software before attempting to install the Deco 01 V2’s driver. Other tablet
drivers may conflict with the Deco 01 V2’s driver or prevent installation entirely. (2). You can download the latest driver version from the XP-Pen website (www.xp-pen.com) and be sure to
extract the “.zip” file contents before running “.exe” or “.pkg.”
Windows
(1).Connect the Deco 01 V2 to your computer using the included USB cable. (2).Please download the Deco 01 V2 latest driver from the support section of our website, (www.xp-
pen.com) (3).Extract the “.zip” file contents before running the “.exe” file. (4).After a successful installation, the driver’s icon ( ) will appear in your system tray and on your desktop.
If the icon is not present, uninstall the driver, reboot, and repeat step 2.
Mac
(1).Connect the Deco 01 V2 to your computer using the included USB cable. (2).Please download the Deco 01 V2 latest driver from the support section of our website, (www.xp-
pen.com) (3).Extract the “.zip” file contents before running “.pkg”.

{III. Driver Settings UI}
Windows
The Deco 01 V2’s driver settings can be opened in two ways: Double-click the driver’s icon ( ) in system tray or your desktop. Driver UI

1.1. Pen Function Settings You may customize the functions of your tablet pen’s barrel buttons here. Use the “Function Key” option to program custom keystrokes.

Note: Pen/Eraser Toggle With the stylus in range working area, press the assigned barrel button to toggle between pen and eraser modes in compatible drawing software. The current mode will briefly be displayed on your monitor. 1.2. Click Sensitivity & Current Pen Pressure
You can adjust pen pressure to “Output” or “Press” sensitivity on here. Current Pen Pressure shows the current pressure level being exerted on your tablet and can be used to test pen pressure.

1.3. Mouse Mode Absolute (Pen) Mode: Standard tablet mode; Each point of the tablet’s work area corresponds to an absolute point on your computer display.

Relative (Mouse) Mode: Mouse mode; The tablet’s work area does not correspond to absolute points on your computer display and your pen works as a standard mouse.

1.4.Current Screen The Deco 01 V2 may be configured for use with single or dual monitors. If only one monitor is selected, your tablet input will be limited to that particular monitor. Custom Display Mapping: The dimensions of your tablet’s on-screen work area can be changed here. Please click the top-left and bottom-right to customize. 090180 & 270 angles: The Deco 01 V2 are set up for 0, 90, 180 and 270 angles and when you set it, you must also rotate your Deco 01 V2. Left hand is 180 angles. You may adjust your tablet’s on-screen working area in this tab. Set Work area: When you click the “Set Work area” button, you can use the stylus pen to customize the Deco 01 V2 work area. Please click the top-left and bottom-right to customize. Display Ratio: You can set your Deco 01 V2 work area adjusts the tablet’s on-screen working area to match your monitor’s resolution. Max Active Area: You can set your Deco 01 V2 work area to the max.

1.5. Import & Export Profiles You can use the Import & Export Profile function to save/load your barrel buttons and shortcut key settings.
Note: When you finish setting up your barrel buttons and shortcut keys, click the OK button to save and exit the tablet settings menu.

1.6. Windows Ink This capability can be toggled on and off here. Enabling this will allow support for Windows Ink and applications that run using Windows Ink.

1.7. Express Keys Setting Notes: (a). The Deco 01 V2’s shortcut keys are designed to work with US English keyboards. Keys may not function
correctly with the other keyboard languages. (b). By default, the Deco 01 V2 express keys are mapped to standard Photoshop keyboard shortcuts. Keys
can be customized to function efficiently in other software.

Disable express keys: When you enable it, all of the express keys function will be disabled. Hide hints: When you enable it and press any express key, the message will not popup on the bottom of your screen.

In this tab, you may edit the functions of the Deco 01 V2’s shortcut keys. Use the “Definition” option to program custom keystrokes.

You can set each shortcut key for different software. a. Click the “+” button to go to Select Program tab.

b. You can choose Default or use Browse to select your choice of software.

c. Return to the shortcut key settings tab, click the tablet icon, and then customize the shortcut keys. When you are finished, click “OK” and exit the tablet settings menu.
Control: You can adjust “Tablet Light” lights.

To open the Deco 01 V2’s driver settings, open Finder > Applications > PenTabletSetting.

1.1. In this tab, you may customize the functions of your stylus’s barrel buttons and click “Default Button Setting” to revert to manufacturer settings.

1.3. Work Area Orientation: 0, 90, 180 & 270: The Deco 01 V2 can also be configured for 0, 90, 180 & 270 angles. Be sure to rotate the actual physical tablet as well.

1.4.Output: You can adjust pen pressure to “Output” or “Press” sensitivity on here. It shows the current pressure level being exerted on your tablet and can be used to test pen pressure.

1.6. Import & Export Profiles You can use the Import & Export Profile function to save/load your barrel buttons and shortcut keys setting.

1.7 Mojave Setup Navigation If your system Mojave, please click this button to setup your tablet and reboot.

2.Monitor The “Monitor” tab allows you to configure Deco 01 V2 for use with single or dual monitors. The tablet can also be configured to use only a portion of your display.

3. Tablet Area You may adjust your tablet’s on-screen working area in this tab. 3.1. Full Area automatically selects the largest possible working area. 3.2. Screen Ratio adjusts the tablet’s on-screen working area to match your monitor’s resolution. 3.3. Tablet LED can let you adjust Tablet lights.

You may choose your preferred functions for the Deco 01 V2’s shortcut keys. Use the “Reset Customer Defined” option to program custom keystrokes.

c. Return to the shortcut key settings tab, click the tablet icon then customize the shortcut keys. When you are finished, click the OK button and exit the tablet settings menu.

{IV. Driver Uninstall}
Windows
In the Start menu, open [Settings] [Apps & features]. Find “Pentablet” and click “Uninstall.” Follow the onscreen instructions.
Mac
Open [Finder] [Application] [Pen Tablet], then click “Uninstall Pen Tablet” and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note When attempting to reinstall the Deco 01 V2 driver, be sure to reboot your computer after the uninstall is complete.

{V. FAQ}
1. I can’t use the stylus to control the cursor. Uninstall the Deco 01 V2 driver. If its uninstaller will not run, run the driver’s installer again, then allow it to uninstall the driver. Reboot, then connect the tablet to your computer and test your stylus. If the cursor responds to your pen input, the tablet’s hardware is functional. Reinstall the Deco 01 V2’s driver according to these steps (Windows): Download the tablet’s latest driver from www.xp-pen.com, then extract the “.zip” contents onto the desktop and installation.
2. How do I know that the Deco 01 V2’s driver installed successfully? After installing the driver, the Deco 01 V2’s driver icon should be visible in your system tray on the bottom-right of your screen (Windows OS). Pen input will control the cursor and pressure sensitivity will be functional in the driver UI’s “Pressure Test” tab.
3. How do I determine if a Problem is software or hardware related? Connect and install the Deco 01 V2 on a different computer. If the tablet functions properly on the new computer, you are experiencing a software issue–confirm that ALL tablet drivers (including the Deco 01 V2) are uninstalled and removed from your computer, then reinstall the Deco 01 V2.

Please download the corresponding driver according to the model of the product you purchased from the XP-PEN official website (https://www.xp-pen.com).

Installation

After downloading is completed, please unzip the folder and operate the 11.exe11  file (Windows) or 11.dmg11  (Mac) file, and then follow the prompts until installation is completed.

1. Before installation, please temporarily close the antivirus software and firewall, as well as all opened
2. If other drivers have been installed on the computer, please uninstall them

Introduction to Driver

After the driver is installed, connect your device to your computer, and then open the driver to start customizing your device.
Notes:
This document describes all the functions of the driver, but your functions in the actual use process will vary due to different connected devices. Please refer to the equipment you actually purchased and used for specific functions.

Store Configuration

If you need to make the changed configuration still valid when you use it next time after exiting the driver, please click the “OK” button on the left side of the driver interface to save the settings after changing the configuration. If the settings are successfully saved, prompt “Configuration saved successfully” will be given; otherwise, the changed configuration will be valid only when it is currently used.

Work Area

Screen

If multiple monitors are used in extended mode, it is necessary to select the work area of the device on the driver interface to map to the corresponding monitor.
If multiple monitors are used in copy mode, the working area of the device will be mapped to all monitors. When the pen moves in the work area, the cursor on all displays will move at the same time.
The driver provides three modes to set the display area of the screen:

1. Set full screen: Set the screen area of the selected monitor to the maximum.
2. Set screen area: Use the mouse to manually set the display area of the screen. Click the first position (top left) of the display area of the screen with the mouse, and then click the second position (bottom right).
3. Customize: Manually enter coordinates in the corresponding input boxes below X, Y, Wand H to customize the size of the display area of the screen, or use the mouse to drag on the screen icon of the driver interface to adjust the display area of the screen.

Calibrate:
Using the function of screen calibration can avoid the problem of the distance between your stylus and the cursor.
This function only supports graphics display.

Show Display Number:
Identify all connected monitors, and numeric identifiers will be displayed in the lower left corner of each monitor.

Tablet / Display

Set any part of the work area of the device to be mapped as the display area of the screen, The driver provides four modes for selection:

1. Full tablet area: Maximize the work area of the device.
2. Tablet proportion: Scale the work area of the device and your screen in equal proportions.
3. Set tablet area: Use a stylus to click the positions of “top left corner” and “bottom right corner” to be selected.
4. Customize: Manually enter coordinates in the corresponding input boxes below X, Y, Wand H to determine the size of the work area of the device, or use the stylus to drag on the device icon on the driver interface to set the size of the work area.

Rotation Setting:
You may set the device to 0°, 90°, 180° & 270°, After finishing settings, you also need to rotate the device to the corresponding direction.
Rotating 180° means to change to the left-handed mode.

Display setting:
This function only supports graphics display. Set the “color temperature adjustment”, “USER”, “brightness” and “contrast” of the graphics display.
When you are connected to a graphics tablet, you can adjust the brightness of the four corner lights here, Only some models of graphics tablet are supported. Please refer to the actual product.

Application

After selecting the application, set the function you want for this application.

1. Click the”+” on the top right of the application bar to open the application selection interface.
2. Select software to be added from the running program or click the “browse” button to add from the installed software; after the application is selected, the path of the selected application will be displayed at the bottom.
   
3. Click the “OK” button at the bottom of the interface, and the application just selected will be added to the application bar.

Pen Settings

Pen Keys:
Set functions of the pen keys here. You may click the drop-down menu to use “Customize” to do so.
Notes:
When the digital pen is within the working range of the device, click the key to switch the pen or eraser mode. When other functions are switched, the current switching mode will be displayed at the bottom of your screen.
Selecting input from the keyboard in the custom function allows you to customize functions of the combination key.

Input From the Keyboard:
You may configure keyboard shortcuts here. With the mouse, you may use functions such as rotation in 3D software; for example, set it as the Alt key in 3D MAX software, and you may rotate the view with the middle mouse button, etc.

You may set multiple sets of keyboard shortcuts here. When you press the button, all the shortcut functions you set will run again. Different devices, the red area display function will be different.

Use mouse control:
Check here to set mouse operation and some keyboard keys.

Precision mode:
Precision mode is to limit the work area of the device to a small area. This function may allow you to make more detailed drawings for some areas.

Pressure adjustment:
The sensitivity of pressure may be adjusted by adjusting the “output” and “pen pressure” curves or moving the slider on the progress bar. Current pressure can test your current pen pressure.

Mouse mode:
The mouse uses the absolute mode by default. Check this to use the relative mode. After selecting it, you can adjust the speed of the mouse.

Absolute coordinate (pen mode):
Absolute coordinate is to scale down the display area of your screen to the work area of the tablet/display.

Relative coordinate (mouse mode):
The operation method of this mode is the same as that of a normal mouse.

Windows Ink:
Some drawing software can support Windows Ink pen pressure, and you can select or cancel “Windows Ink” to open or close this function, which is opened by default.

Express Keys

To use the express key of the device, set the input method to English mode. Setting to another mode may not function correctly.
The express key of the device is the command key of Photoshop as the default value. You can customize express keys according to your personal needs, different devices have different number of express keys.
If the device has a roller or a touch, it is recommended that you set one of the express keys to switch roller or touch function.

Customize Express Key

Select “customize” from the drop-down menu to customize the function of each express key. The setting steps are the same as those of digital pen keys.

Roller / Touch

According to different connecting devices, the functions displayed here are also different. The functions of “scroll” and “touch” are introduced respectively below. For other settings, please refer to “scroll”.

Roller

Select the function you want to use from the default four groups of functions. You can customize or set this function to have no effect.

Customize:
In the custom settings, you can set KL and KR to corresponding key combinations and use custom naming.

Touch

You can set the touch to mouse mode or scroll mode.

Scroll Mode:
The setting procedure is the same as that of the scroll.

Mouse Mode:
You can use the touch as a mouse.

Settings

Disable Express Key:
Check this function to close functions of all express keys.

Disable Message:
When the express key is used, no message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen when this function is checked.

Disable Pressure:

After checking this function, you will not feel the pressure of the stylus when using this stylus.

Disable tilt:
Checking this function will disable the tilt effect of the stylus.

Diagnostic tool:
When there is any problem during your use of the driver, you can use diagnostic tool.

Import & export config:
You can import and export the configured express keys and other functions to store and read their settings.

Notes:
When you need to import & export the changed functions, please click the “OK” button on the left side of the driver interface to save the configuration.
