Vortex Dead Hold BDC Moa Reticle

DEAD-HOLD® BDC MOA RETICLE

This exclusive reticle has been designed to minimize the need for guessing bullet holdover at long distances. By selecting the appropriate hashmark, the shooter will have a reliable bullet-drop reference for all reasonable distances.
The Dead-Hold® BDC reticle is designed around an average ballistic curve, allowing for use with a variety of different firearms. From high-powered rifles to rimfires, windy conditions to calm, the Dead-Hold® BDC reticle will help the shooter put rounds on target quickly and effectively.

Subtension Chart

Note: The Dead-Hold® BDC reticle is used in second focal plane riflescopes. Most commonly, the MOA subtensions are valid at the highest magnification. Please check the Product Manual to confirm the subtended magnification for your scope.

MOA Subtensions
The Dead-Hold® BDC reticle is based on Minute of Angle (MOA) subtensions. MOA is an angular unit of measurement used to account for bullet drop, wind corrections, and range estimation. 1 MOA will correspond to 1.047” for each 100 yards.
Note: Although 1 MOA is very commonly corresponded to 1” at 100 yards, this is not correct. 1 MOA at 100 yards equals 1.047”. Calling 1 MOA, 1” per hundred yards may be acceptable for short distances, but will result in a five percent error in ranging and holdovers. This could result
in missed shots.

Second Focal Plane Reticles
In second focal plane riflescopes, the listed MOA subtensions are calibrated to a specific magnification, typically the highest. The shooter can use the center crosshair on any magnification, but when using the hashmarks for longer-range shots or windage corrections, the shooter must be on the calibrated magnification. If the shooter is not on the calibrated magnification, additional calculations must be done to determine the value of the hashmark.

Using the Reticle for Bullet-Drop Compensation

Rifle/ammo combinations are put into ballistic classes where bullet-drops will be predictable.
Begin by choosing one of the listed Firearm Classes.
If your firearm does not fall exactly into one of these classes, select the class which is most similar, or use the Precision Technique detailed in the next section. The Vortex® Long Range Ballistic Calculator is a handy tool to compare your bullet-drop numbers
to the ones listed for each class. You can find it at vortexoptics.com.
After selecting a class, sight-in the crosshair at the recommend zero range for that class. (Consult the Product Manual for proper sight-in procedure).
Once the rifle has been sighted-in, the lower hashmarks can be used as aiming points at the corresponding distances listed.
Note: Use the classes as a starting point, the values can be refined at the range or using a ballistic calculator. If you require greater accuracy or have a round that does not fall within one of the classes, use the Precision Technique detailed in the next section.
Remember the listed ranges will only apply with the scope set to the calibrated magnification. The center crosshair and its corresponding zero distance can always be used at any magnification.

CLASS B

High Power/Magnum: 300 Win-Mag, 7mm Rem Mag
(Crosshair zeroed at 200 yds.)

CLASS E

Straight Wall: .450 Bushmaster, 350 Legend, 45-70
(Crosshair Dot zeroed at 100 yds.)

Note: Due to the tremendous differences in loads, these numbers should be viewed only as a representative sample. It is very important to validate these numbers with your setup before hunting, at the range, or using a ballistic calculator.

PRECISION TECHNIQUE

If you wish to get the best accuracy or have a caliber that is not listed, you can get more detailed ballistic data using the Vortex Long Range
Ballistic Calculator (LRBC®) located at vortexoptics.com.

1. Input your max shooting distance and the yardage increments you would like displayed. We recommend selecting a shooting distance farther than what you plan on shooting and the smallest increments allowed (10 yds.).
2. Input your ammunition data. You can find this information on the ammo box or on the manufacturer’s website. For more accurate information, chronograph your rifle to obtain your true muzzle velocity.
3. Input your zero range and firearm information.
4.  Input your environmental data.
5. Select “Calculate.”
6.  Select “MOA.”
7. Cross-reference the bullet drop with the hash marks values (1.5, 4.5, 7.5, 11 MOA) and the corresponding yardage. If the drop does not match up exactly, round to the closest number.

Windage Correction Holdovers
The Dead-Hold® BDC reticle can also be used to account for wind drift. Just like using the elevation hashmarks, the scope must be set to the subtended magnification when holding for wind.
Correct for wind drift using the line width changes on the horizontal stadia as reference points.
2 MOA correction for a 5 mph wind at 200 yards.

Long-Range Hunting

Vortex® believes strongly in responsible, ethical hunting and a word should be said about long-range shooting at game. Although reticles like the Dead-Hold® BDC can make long-distance shots much easier, there are still many variables affecting every shot. It is important for hunters shooting at long distances to learn their personal effective range, particularly in windy conditions, and to not shoot at game beyond those distances.   Wireless devices can cause interference in aircraft. Using a mobile tablet in flight is illegal and risky. Please make sure that your mobile tablet is powered off in flight.
• SWITCH OFF BEFORE ENTERING RISKY AREAS
  Strictly observe the relevant laws, codes, and regulations on the use of mobile tablet s in risky areas. Turn off your mobile tablet before entering a place susceptible to explosion, such as an oil station, oil tank, chemical plant or a place where a blasting process is under way.

  Ensure the phone is switched on and in service, enter the emergency number, e.g. 112, then press the Dial key. Give your location and state your situation briefly. Do not end the call until told to do so.

Note: Just like all other mobile tablet, this mobile tablet does not necessarily support all the features described in this manual due to network or radio transmission problems. Some networks even do not support the emergency call service. Therefore, do not rely solely on the mobile tablet for critical communications such as first aid. Please consult the local network operator.

Functions of Keys

The mobile tablet provides the following keys:

• Power key
  Power key situates at the right side of the tablet. While using the tablet, you can press this key to lock screen; if you press and hold this key, a tablet -options dialog would pop out. Here, you can select to adjust the profile mode, power off, reboot or turn on/off airplane mode.
• Volume key
  Volume key situates at the left side of the tablet. You can press it to adjust ringer volume. 2.2 Functions of icons
• Menu icon
  Touch this icon to access options of a selected function;
• Home icon
  Touch it to open home screen. If you’re viewing the left or right extended Home screen, touch it can enter the home screen.

Getting started

Charging the Battery

• Your mobile tablet can monitor and display the battery state.
• Normally the remaining energy of the battery is indicated by the battery level icon at the upper right corner of the display screen.
• When the battery energy is insufficient, the mobile tablet prompts “Battery low”. Using a travel adapter:
• Connect the adapter of the travel charger with the charging slot in the mobile tablet. Ensure that the adapter is fully inserted.
• Insert the plug of the travel charger to an appropriate power outlet.
• During the charging, the battery level grids in the battery icon keep flickering till the battery is fully charged.
• The battery icon does no longer flicker when the charging process ends.

Note

Ensure that the plug of the charger, the plug of the earphone, and the plug of the USB cable are inserted in the right direction. Inserting them in a wrong direction may cause charging failure or other problems.

Before the charging, ensure that the standard voltage and frequency of the local mains supply match the rated voltage and power of the travel charger.

Optimizing battery life

You can extend your battery’s life between charges by turning off features that you don’t need. You can also monitor how applications and system resources consume battery power.

To guarantee the optimal performance of your battery, please stick to the following rules:

• Turn off radios that you aren’t using. If you aren’t using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, use the Setting application to turn them off.
• Turn down screen brightness and set a shorter screen timeout.
• If you don’t need them, turn off automatic syncing for Gmail, Calendar, and other applications.

Linking to the Networks and devices

Your tablet can connect to a variety of networks and devices, including mobile networks for voice and data transmission, Wi-Fi data networks, and Bluetooth devices, such as headsets. You can also connect your tablet to a computer, to transfer files from your tablet SD card and share your tablet mobile data connection via USB.

Connecting to Wi-Fi networks

Wi-Fi is a wireless networking technology that can provide Internet access at distances of up to 100 meters, depending on the Wi-Fi router and your surroundings.

Touch Settings>Network > Wi-Fi. Check Wi-Fi to turn it on. The tablet scans for available Wi-Fi networks and displays the names of those it finds. Secured networks are indicated with a Lock icon.

Touch a network to connect to it. If the network is open, you are prompted to confirm that you want to connect to that network by touching Connect. If the network is secured, you’re prompted to enter a password or other credentials.

Connecting to Bluetooth devices

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communications technology that devices can use to exchange information over a distance of about 8 meters.

The most common Bluetooth devices are headphones for making calls or listening to music, hands free kits for cars, and other portable devices, including laptops and cell phones.

Touch Settings> Network > Bluetooth. Check Bluetooth to turn it on.

You must pair your tablet with a device before you can connect to it. Once you pair your tablet with a device, they stay paired unless you unpair them.

Your tablet scans for and displays the IDs of all available Bluetooth devices in range. If the device you want to pair with isn’t in the list, make it discoverable.

Connecting to a computer via USB

You can connect your tablet to a computer with a USB cable, to transfer music, pictures, and other files between your tablet SD card and the computer.

Using the touch screen

• Touch-screen tips
  • Touch
    To act on items on the screen, such as application and settings icons, to type letters and symbols using the onscreen keyboard, or to press onscreen buttons, you simply touch them with your finger.
  • Touch & hold
    Touch & hold an item on the screen by touching it and not lifting your finger until an action occurs. For example, to open a menu for customizing the Home screen, you touch an empty area on the Home screen until the menu opens.
  • Drag
    Touch & hold an item for a moment and then, without lifting your finger, move your finger on the screen until you reach the target position.
• Lock screen
  When Screen lock in Security setting is enabled, press Power key to lock the handset. This helps to prevent accidental touching of keys and as well as power saving. When Sleep function in Display setting is enabled, after the tablet device has been idle for preset period, the screen will be locked automatically to save power.

Using the onscreen keypad

You enter text using the onscreen keyboard. Some applications open the keyboard automatically. In others, you touch a text field where you want to enter text to open the keyboard.

• To enter text
  Touch a text field, and the onscreen keyboard opens. Some applications open the keyboard automatically.
• Touch the keys on the keyboard to type.
  The characters you’ve entered appear in the text field, with suggestions for the word you are typing below.

Using the Menus

Backup Restore

You can use this function to backup or restore your tablet data.

Browser

You can use Browser to view webpages and search for information on the web. When you open Browser, your home page opens. The web address (URL) of the current page is displayed at the top of the window.

To go to a web page or search the web

Touch the URL box at the top of the Browser screen. Enter the address (URL) of a webpage. Or enter terms you want to search for. As you enter text, your web search engine makes suggestions of web pages and queries.

To find text on a web page

Touch Menu icon and touch More > Find on page. Enter the text you’re looking for. As you type, the first word with matching characters is highlighted on the screen, and subsequent matches are boxed. Touch the left or right arrow to scroll to and highlight the previous or next matching word..

Downloading files

You can download files and even applications from webpage. The files that you download are stored on your SD card.
To download a file, Different webpage offer different mechanisms for downloading pictures, documents, applications, and other files. Touch & hold an image or a link to a file or to another webpage. In the menu that opens, touch Save. If the file is in a format supported by an application
on the tablet, it is downloaded to your SD card. Touch menu icon and then touch More>downloads, here, you can find a list of downloaded files. If you want to delete a file, just touch the indication box which situates at the left of the downloaded file, and an option box will pop out, here, you can select delete to delete an unnecessary file.

Calculator

You can use this Calculator to solve simple arithmetic problems or use its advanced operators to solve more complex equations.
Enter numbers and arithmetic operators on the basic screen; Drag the basic screen to the left to open the advanced screen; Touch Del to delete the last number or operator you entered. Touch & hold Del to delete everything in the display.
In the calculator screen, you can touch menu icon to access advanced panel.

Calendar

You can open Calendar to view events you’ve created.

Touch the Calendar icon in the main menu interface. Events from each Account you’ve added to your tablet and configured to synchronize calendars are displayed in Calendar.

Creating an event

You can use Calendar on your tablet to create events. In any calendar view, touch menu icon > new event to open a event details screen for a new event.

Enter a name, time, and optional additional details about the event. You can touch plus icon to add more reminders. In the Guests field, you can enter the email addresses of everyone you want to invite to the event. Separate multiple addresses with commas ( , ). If the people to whom you send invitations use Google Calendar, they’ll receive an invitation in Calendar and by email. You can touch menu icon and touch Show extra options to add details about the event. Scroll to the bottom of the Event details screen and touch Done. The event is added to your calendar.

Camera

Touch the Camera icon in the main menu interface or on the home screen, camera opens in Landscape mode, ready to take a picture. In this mode, you can touch the camera icon to take a photo, touch photo icon and slide right to switch between photo and video

Note: you can also touch menu icon to pop out an option box. There, you can switch to camcorder mode.

Clock

Touch the Clock icon on the Home screen or in the main menu interface. You can set an alarm by modifying an existing alarm or by adding a new one. You also can use word time，Timer and Stopwatch.

Downloads

Through this function, you can view a list of files and applications which you downloaded from the network.

Email

You use the Email application to read and send email. There are many email address to choose. Touch email icon to access it. If the Email Account has not been set up, you can set up an Email Account in a few steps.

• Account setup
  Enter an Email address and the Account’s password.
• Account settings
  • Set inbox checking frequency.
  • Set Send email from this Account by default.
  • Set Notify me when email arrives.
  • Set Synchronize contacts, calendar or Email from this Account.
  • Set Automatically download attachments when connected to Wi-Fi.
• Compose and sending Email
  To compose and send an Email:
  1. Touch the create icon to compose a new Email.
  2. Enter Email address(es) for intended recipient(s).
  3. Touch Menu → Attach file to attach a file.
  4. Touch Menu → Add Cc/Bcc to add copy or blind copy this Email to other contacts.
  5. After completing the Email, Touch send icon to send the Email. Touch folder icon to check the Account status. For each Email Account there are five default folders, i.e., Inbox, Drafts, Outbox, Send and Trash folders. To view sent Emails, open Sent folder and tap refresh icon.

Facebook

You can use the Face book through this function after you have a Face book Account and log in it.

File manager

The tablet supports the SD card. You can use the File Manager to conveniently manage various directories and files on the SD card.

Flash Light

You can turn on/off the flash light through this function.

FM Radio

Please plug in the compatible earphone to the device and then turn on the radio. The earphone cable can be used as FM Antenna. Please adjust appropriate volume when listening to the radio. Continue to use higher volume is harmful for your ear.

Google

Stay in the know with the Google app.

YouTube

See what the world is watching on YouTube.

Google Play

Google Play is your entertainment unbound. It brings together all of the entertainment you love and helps you explore it in new ways, anytime, anywhere.

Search

The Search function enables you to open a search box for searching your tablet and the web.

Settings

The Settings application contains most of the tools for customizing and configuring your tablet. You can use Wireless Network settings to manage, configure and manage connections to networks and devices by using Wi-Fi. You also can set Bluetooth, data usage, airplane mode, Default SMS app, tethering & portable hotspot .

• Battery
  You can view your battery status, battery level and battery use in this interface.
• Apps
  You can use the Applications settings to view details about the applications installed on your tablet, to manage their data and force them to stop, to view and control currently running services, and to view the storage used by applications, etc..
• Location
  You can turn on/off location and select High accuracy, Battery saving or Device only through this function.
• Language & input
  Use the Language & Keyboard settings to select the language for the text on your tablet and for configuring the input method.
• Date & time
  You can use Date & Time settings to set your preferences for how dates are displayed. You can also use these settings to set your own time and time zone, rather than obtaining the current time from the network.

Sound Recorder

Use this function to record audio files. Two function icons at the bottom of the Recorder screen are corresponding to start recording and review record file.

Video player

With Videos, you can play video clips in your device (for example, the video you captured by the camera) or video files stored in compatible SD card (if inserted).

Getting to know your phone

Key definitions

Insert the SIM and microSD cards

After opening the phone case, insert the SIM card into the lower slot. The SD card is inserted into the upper slot.
Caution: Use only the properly sized sim card, do not cut or force the SIM card into the slot.

Turn on and adjust the volume

• Turn on: Hold down the “Power button” until the screen lights up.
• Adjust the volume: Press “Volume +” to turn up the volume， Press ” Volume -” to turn down the volume

Screen control

You can control your phone through a series of operations on the screen.

• Touch: You can touch the items on the screen to make selections, open applications or use the keyboard to input characters.
• Swipe or slide: Quickly move your finger across the surface of the screen without pausing (be careful not to drag items).
• Touch & hold: You can touch & hold some items to get an available menu.
• Drag: You can drag some items on the screen to relocate the icon or produce certain operations.
• Switch between landscape mode and portrait mode: You can switch to landscape mode by rotating your phone. The landscape mode is only valid under some interfaces, such as the text input interface, the message viewing interface and compatible applications.
• Pinch: In some apps (such as Maps and Photos), you can zoom in and out by placing two fingers on the screen at once and pinching them together (to zoom out) or spreading them apart (to zoom in).

Open and switch applications

Open and close the Applications screen
On the home screen, you can swipe up quickly to view more applications. Touch an icon to enter the corresponding application. Touch the Home key to return to the home screen.

Switch to a recently used application
On the home screen, touch the █, opens a list of thumbnail images of apps you’ve worked with recently. To open an app, touch it. To remove a thumbnail from the list, swipe it up.

Home Screen

Arrange & work with apps

• Explore your widgets: Touch the widgets tab at the top of any application screen.
• Get more apps: Touch the Play Store icon on the home screen and sign in to download additional apps.
  Manage notifications
• Open notifications panel: When a new notification appears on the notification bar, you can drag the notification bar down from the top of the screen to open the notifications panel when your phone has been in idle mode or lock the screen.
• Respond to a notification: Touch it.
• Dismiss a notification: Swipe it sideways.
• Close notifications: Swipe left to turn off notifications.

Place an app icon on the Home screen
Touch & hold the app icon, slide your finger, and lift your finger to drop the icon in place.
Delete items on the homepage
Touch & hold the app icon, slide your finger toward the top of the screen, and drop the app over the Remove icon.
Use folders
You can combine several app icons in a folder. Drop one app icon over another on a Home screen, and the two icons will be combined. From any Home screen, you can

• Open a folder: Touch it. The folder opens:
• Rename a folder: Touch its name.
• Move icons around your Home screens: Touch, hold and slide.

Change wallpaper

1. Touch & hold anywhere that is not occupied on the home screen. A list of options appears.
2. Select wallpaper from Photos/ Live Wallpapers/ Wallpapers.

Switch to sleep mode

Sleep mode is a kind of power saving mode, which also helps to prevent inadvertent operations. If your phone has been in idle mode for a while, it will automatically switch to sleep mode. You can also press the Power button to turn off the screen and enable sleep mode.

Wake up your phone

After the phone switches to the sleep mode, the screen will be turned off and locked. If needed, please wake your phone and unlock the screen if you want to use your phone.

1. Press the Power button to turn on the screen.
2. Swipe up to unlock the screen.

If you’ve set an unlock pattern or password, you need to draw the unlock pattern or input the password to enter the main interface.

Make and answer calls

Directly make a call

On the home screen, touch the button to display the dialing keypad. Touch the numeric buttons to input the telephone number and touch the button to make the call.

Make the call from Contacts
On the home screen, touch the Contacts icon, touch the desired contact and touch the phone number to dial it.
Make the call from Call log
On the home screen, touch the button, notice the three tabs at the top of the phone. the call log shows recent calls. Touch the phone icon in a call log to display it.
Make an international call
On the home screen, touch the button to display the dialing keypad. Touch & hold the “0” key until “+” appears on the screen, then dial the country code or region code, city code and phone number.
Dial from Messaging

1. On the home screen, touch the Messaging icon.
2. Select and open one message or conversation.
3. Touch the icon at the top of the phone to dial a number.

Answer a call

Your phone will ring or vibrate (depending on the current mode and settings) upon an incoming call.

• Slide from middle to up to answer the call.
• If headphones are inserted, press the key on the headphones to answer the call.

Reject a call

Swipe down the middle to deny a call.

End a call

Touch the button to hang up the call.

Adjust the volume

During a call, you can raise or lower the volume by using the volume keys.

Turn the speaker on or off

During a call, touch the Speaker button to turn on the speaker, and touch it again to turn off speaker.

Add a call

During a call, touch the Add call button then dial a number and touch the phone icon to add one call and put the current caller on hold. This function requires compatibility with your network operator.

Open the dialing keypad

In a call, you can touch the button to open the dialing keypad to input additional numbers.

Contacts

You can place calls from the Phone app, the Contacts app, or other apps that display contact information. When you see a phone number, you can usually touch it to dial. The contacts interface can be divided into the following tab pages:

• Recent: Call history of the call.
• Contacts: View the list of contacts.
• Favorites: Display the numbers you usually call.

All of your contacts are displayed alphabetically in a scrollable list. You can slide your finger up or down to scroll quickly.

Add new contact

1. In Contacts, touch the icon at the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
2. Input all contact information. Slide up to move to the next field.
3. Touch the Save icon to save your contact.

Delete contacts

In Contacts, hold the contact and then select Delete contact.

Edit contact details

1. In Contacts, touch the contact whose details you want to edit.
2. Edit the contact information.

Search contacts

1. In Contacts, touch the Search contacts.
2. Type a key word of a contact name. The phone will automatically list all matched contacts.

Add a contact to Favorites

You can tap the contact you want to add to favorites in the contact interface, and then touch ☆ in the upper right corner to add it to Favorites directly. You can only add the contacts stored on the phone to the Favorites.

Accounts

You can synchronize contact information to your phone from a GoogleTM Account.

In Contacts, touch and then select Sign In.

Share a contact

You can share a contact with someone.

1. In Contacts, tap the contact you want to share.
2. Touch and then touch Share.
3. Select application with which to share (Bluetooth®, Email, Gmail, MMS, SMS and SD Card).

Messages

In Messages, you can send or receive text messages and multimedia messages. On the home screen, touch the Messaging icon to open.

Send messages

1. In Messaging, touch the Start chat.
2. Input your desired telephone number in Type name or number. You can also select contacts you want to send message from the Contacts and then touch.
3. You can touch the icon to attach pictures, videos or audio files. The phone will automatically convert the message to a multimedia message.
4. Input some text in Text message.
5. After that, touch the icon to send the message.

Receive messages 

1. In idle mode, you will be reminded about the new messages in the notification area. Slide down to open the notification panel to view.
2. Touch the message.
3. Directly input text to reply to the message.
4. Touch the icon at the top of the phone to directly call back. Touch & hold the text to pop up the Message options menu, you can Copy, Forward, Lock/Unlock or Delete the message and etc.

Settings

In Messaging, touch the Menu key and then touch Settings to change relevant settings.

Gmail

You can use Gmail to read and write email from any mobile device or browser. Your email is always up to date and available no matter where you check it from. On the home screen or in the All Apps screen, touch the Gmail icon to open Gmail.

Set up an Gmail account for the first time

You need to set up an Gmail account when you use Gmail for the first time.

1. If you already have a Gmail account, touch Existing, then enter the Gmail address and password.
2. Otherwise, touch New and follow the prompts to create a new Gmail account.

Send Emails with Gmail

After the setting of a Gmail account is completed, your phone will automatically enter the inbox of this Gmail account.

1. In the inbox of the Gmail account, you want to use, touch
2. Fill in one or more recipients. You can touch the Menu key to add CC/BCC.
3. Enter the email subject and then compose your message.
4. If you want to attach a photo or video, Touch the Menu key > Attach picture/Attach video.
5. Touch to send.

Replying to or forwarding email messages in Gmail

1. In the Gmail inbox, touch the email message.
2. To reply to the sender, touch. or Touch and choose whether to Reply all or Forward.
3. If you selected Reply all, enter your reply message. If you selected Forward, specify the message recipients.
4. Touch to send.

Network Applications

Network connection

Your phone can connect to the Internet, data services may incur additional charges. For details, please consult your network service provider.

Ways of Connecting to the Internet
Your phone’s networking capabilities allow you to access the Internet via the mobile network’s GSM/WCDMA connection and Wi-Fi.
GSM/WCDMA data connection
Different locations may have different mobile network availability. Initially, your phone is configured to use the fastest mobile network available for data. You can also configure your phone to access a different set of networks entirely, or to behave in special ways when roaming. The icons on the Status bar indicate which kind of data network you’re connected to. On the home screen, touch Settings> Network & internet > Mobile networks to change relevant settings.

Wi-Fi

Turn on/off Wi-Fi

1. On the home screen, touch Settings and then touch Network & internet.
2. To turn on Wi-Fi, touch OFF and slide it to the right. Touch ON and slide to the left to turn off Wi-Fi.

Connect to Wi-Fi

1. . On the home screen, touch Settings and then touch Network & internet.
2. Turn on Wi-Fi.
3. Touch Wi-Fi. Your phone will automatically search for all nearby Wi-Fi networks.
4. Select the network you would like to connect to from the list.
   1. If you’ve selected an open network, your phone will automatically connect to it.
   2. If you’ve selected a secure network, you need to input the password.

Browser

You can use Chrome to view web pages and to search for information on the web.

Open Browser

1. On the home screen, touch the Chrome icon.
2. Touch the URL field at the top to input a web address.
3. Enter a new address and then touch Go.

You can touch > Bookmarks/History to select the bookmark you want to open. Touch SAVED PAGES or HISTORY to open other web pages.
Browse web
After opening a web page, you can slide your finger on the screen to view other parts of the page.
Zoom in or out
You can use two fingers to zoom in or out. Spread your fingers apart or pinch them together to zoom in or out.
Browsing options
When browsing web pages, touch the to select more operations such as Save to bookmarks, Share page, Find in page, Request desktop site.
Settings
You can choose settings that will affect how page content is displayed and privacy and security preferences to suit your browse style. On the Browser screen, touch Settings to enter the settings interface.

Bluetooth

Via the Bluetooth® function, you can exchange data with other Bluetooth devices that are within a short distance. Because Bluetooth® devices communicate through radio waves; interference might exist due to obstacles or other electronic devices.

Turn on/off Bluetooth

1. On the home screen, touch Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Bluetooth.
2. Slide the ON/OFF button next to Bluetooth® to turn it on or off.

Pairing

1. Touch Pair new device, when Bluetooth is on to automatically search for devices. Your phone will scan for and display all Bluetooth devices it finds.
2. Touch the ID of the desired device.

Send files via Bluetooth
To send files via Bluetooth®, do as follows:

1. Select a file or item, such as a contact or a media file from an appropriate application or File manager.
2. Open it, touch the Menu key and choose Share, or touch and hold it, choose then touch the icon.
3. Search for and pair with a Bluetooth®-enabled device.

Change your phone’s Bluetooth name

1. . On the home screen, touch Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Bluetooth
2. If the Bluetooth function is not turned on, turn it on.
3. Touch Bluetooth, then touch the Device name to edit the name of your device, then touch Rename.
4. Touch the name of the phone to toggle it to Visibility timeout so that other Bluetooth® devices can find your device.

Airplane mode

In areas where the use of mobile devices is restricted, you can activate Airplane mode to disable phone function but still use other functions of your phone such as calendar, music and games. You will not be able to make/answer calls, send/receive messages in Airplane mode.

1. On the home screen, touch Settings > Network & internet.
2. Check the box for Airplane mode. The phone will turn off all wireless connections when Airplane mode is enabled.

Experiencing Multimedia

Camera

Your phone has a camera, which can be used to take photos and record video clips.
Note:
Please respect the privacy of others and abide by the local regulations and customs when taking photos.
Take photos

1. On the home screen, touch the Camera icon to open the camera.
2. Tap the icon to take photos after the view is satisfactory. To view your picture, touch the thumbnail in the bottom left corner of the screen.

Record video clips

You can use icon to change from Camera to Camcorder or vice versa. Tap the icon to start recording and touch the icon to stop recording. After a video is recorded, you can touch the frame in the bottom left corner of the screen to view the video.

Photos

The Photos categorizes your pictures and videos by storage location and stores these files in folders. Tap a folder to view the pictures or videos inside

More Applications

File Manager

On the home screen, touch the Files icon. You can view all files saved in the phone or on the memory card.

Clock

On the home screen, touch the Clock icon.

Adding an Alarm

1. Touch the Alarm.
2. Touch the icon at the down of the screen.

Turning on/off an Alarm

On the Alarms screen, slide the ON/OFF button next to an alarm to turn it on or off.

Stopwatch

1. On the Clock screen, touch Stopwatch.
2. Touch to start timing, press to pause.

Timer

1. On the Clock screen, touch Add timer.
2. Set the length of time to count down.
3. Touch to begin.
4. When the timer expires, touch to stop the alert.

Manage applications

You can view and manage applications installed in your phone.
Install new applications
You can install applications from the Play Store or from elsewhere. When installing applications that are not from the Play Store, make sure the software is suitable for your phone.

Installing applications from the Play Store

1. On the home screen, touch the Play Store icon.
2. Search for the applications you want to install.

Installing applications not in the Play Store

1. Copy the application to the SD card and find the file from File manager.
2. Check Unknown sources.
3. Touch the file and complete the installation according to the wizard.

Macro instruction

Step 1: Select a layer (Fn + “<“, “>” or “?” key).

Step 2: Press Fn + right Ctrl to enter the programming mode (the LED 2 is steady light)
Step 3: Hit the key you want to program (the LED 2 flashes)
Step 4: Type the content then hit Pn key (the LED 2 light on constantly)
Step 5: Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 to program other keys.
Step 6: Press Fn + right Ctrl key to exit the programming mode (the LED on the right side of spacebar goes out)

Note:
The keyboard has 4 built-in layers. The default layer cannot be programmed.
Fn + right Ctrl / M / < / > and ? disable.

Remarks:

1. Support Fn layer programming, Fn compound key (for example Fn + A) can be programmed in key selection state.
2. Support delay output. In the state of key selection (step 3), Fn + T, Fn + G, Fn + B, the continuous delay only counts one time but the time accumulates.
   
   Example:
   Program to enter “OK” when Q is pressed. Insert an interval of 1.2 seconds between O and K.
   Press “O” and hit Fn+B 2 times (0.5s x 2 = 1s) and Fn+Gx2 time (0.1s x2=0.2s)
   
3. Each key can input up to 31 key-code.
4. In programming mode, if you do not press any keys within 15 seconds, it will automatically exit.

How to change the position of Fn or Pn. Fn as an example:
Step 1: Turn on the DIP switch 4
Step 2: Select a Layer
Step 3: Press Fn and then select the new location you want

RGB LED editing instructions:

3 layers can edit RGB lighting effects and each layer
can edit single-key backlight or entire column backlight.
Step 1. Select a layer whose color you want to edit (Fn + <,> or? Key)
Step 2. Press Pn + 9 or 0 to enter the edit mode.
Step 3. Press Pn + 1, 2, 3 to mix colors by yourself or press Pn + ESC to open the color palette, and select a color to change directly
Note:
If you choose to mix the color yourself, the color will be displayed on the Pn key
Step 4. Press Pn + 9 or 0 again to exit the edit mode
Step 5. Press Pn + “-” or “=” to display the set custom color.

1. Independent arrow keys
   Pressing the right Alt and the spacebar one time, it will change the right Shift, Fn, Pn and right Ctrl into arrow keys.
