					<description><![CDATA[SMART Home USER MANUAL ZIGBEE SMOKE DETECTOR ZSDR-850 Item 71197 Version 1.0 Visit www.trust.com/zigbee for the latest instructions www.trust.com/zigbee COMPATIBILITY This photoelectric smoke detector works with the Z1 Zigbee Bridge and the ICS-2000 to give additional functionality like receiving push notifications when smoke is detected. NOTE: For receiving push notifications, a fully working internet connection is required. PLACING THE SMOKE DETECTOR Place the detector on the ceiling. In case of a sloped ceiling, place 90 cm from the highest point. To ensure that the sound can be clearly heard in bedrooms, the smoke detector must be placed no further than 3 meters from a bedroom door. It is recommended to install a smoke detector on every floor of your home Place the detector at least 2m away from cooking appliances Relocate the unit if it produces frequent false alarms Do not place the smoke detector near exhaust fans or airconditioning systems as they can prevent smoke from reaching the smoke detector Avoid placing the detector in bathrooms and other  very humid or dusty places Always comply with the local regulations for installation in buildings. TESTING AND USAGE Always test the detector using the test mode after placement and after that once a week. Test the detector once a week. Replace the detector immediately when the test fails. Replace the battery immediately when the detector is indicating battery low. (up to 3-year battery life) Clean the detector once a month with a soft brush Never use water, cleaners, or solvents to clean the detector since they may damage the unit.  If the detector is damaged replace it immediately. The smoke detector will not alert hearing-impaired residents. It is recommended to install special smoke detectors to alert hearing-impaired residents. Never use an open flame of any kind to test this unit. You might accidentally damage or set fire to the unit or to your home. Use only a CR123A 3.0V Lithium Battery. Other batteries may cause unreliable operation.  Removal of the battery will render this alarm inoperative Press test button to check operation after replacing the battery. Check www.trust.com/71197 for the latest instructions REMOVE BATTERY PULL STRIP A. Remove the detector from the mounting bracket by twisting it. B. Remove the battery pull strip by pulling it from the detector. Only after removing the pull strip, the detector can be used.  INDICATORS The detector contains a LED indicator to show the status of the detector. Please see below the meaning of the different LED indications. LED FUNCTION TABLE Connection mode LED will flash fast for approximately 1 min. Connected successfully LED will light up for 3 sec (The App will also indicate when the connection is successful) Detector reset LED will flash 6x Detector alarm The LED will flash and the detector will sound (85db). To stop the detector alarm press the Test/Stop button Detector operation LED will flash once every 53 sec to indicate the detector is operating correctly Battery low indication LED will flash once and gives one beep every 53 sec DOWNLOAD APP To connect the detector with a Z1 Zigbee bridge or ICS-2000, first, get the App by scanning the QR code or go to trust.com/ Zigbee and install it. CONNECT DETECTOR A. In the App, select a room, press the + button and choose Trust Zigbee line/ Smoke detector and follow the instructions. For manual set up of push-notifications go to the rules tab, press the + button, and select notification wizard. MOUNT THE DETECTOR A Mount the bracket of the detector on a flat surface on the ceiling and secure it with the included screws. B 1 Place the detector on the mounting bracket. 2 Secure the detector by twisting it on the bracket to lock it. TEST MODE Activate the test mode of the detector to check the operation by pressing the Test/Stop button. The LED will flash fast and the detector will sound. RESET DETECTOR AND ACTIVATE CONNECT MODE Warning: This step will disconnect the detector from the Z1 Zigbee Bridge or the ICS-2000. To reset the detector press the button in the hole at the side for approximately 5 sec with the included pin. The LED will flash 6x to confirm the reset. Activate connect mode: After resetting the detector you can activate the connect mode by pressing the button in the hole on the side for approx. 2 sec. The LED will flash fast for 1 minute to indicate the connection mode. REPLACE BATTERY A. Open the battery compartment by removing the detector from the bracket. B. Remove the empty battery and insert a new 3V CR123A lithium battery in the compartment. Note the positive and negative polarity. C. Lock the detector back on the bracket. <li>Relocate the unit if it produces frequent false alarms</li>
<li>Do not place the smoke detector near exhaust fans or airconditioning systems as they can prevent smoke from reaching the smoke detector</li>
<li>Avoid placing the detector in bathrooms and other  very humid or dusty places</li>
<li>Always comply with the local regulations for installation in buildings.</li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>TESTING AND USAGE</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Always test the detector using the test mode after placement and after that once a week.</li>
<li>Test the detector once a week. Replace the detector immediately when the test fails.</li>
<li>Replace the battery immediately when the detector is indicating battery low. (up to 3-year battery life)</li>
<li>Clean the detector once a month with a soft brush</li>
<li>Never use water, cleaners, or solvents to clean the detector since they may damage the unit.</li>
<li> If the detector is damaged replace it immediately.</li>
<li>The smoke detector will not alert hearing-impaired residents. It is recommended to install special smoke detectors to alert hearing-impaired residents.</li>
<li>Never use an open flame of any kind to test this unit. You might accidentally damage or set fire to the unit or to your home.</li>
<li>Use only a CR123A 3.0V Lithium Battery. Other batteries may cause unreliable operation.</li>
<li> Removal of the battery will render this alarm inoperative</li>
<li>Press test button to check operation after replacing the battery.<br />

<li><strong>REMOVE BATTERY PULL STRIP</strong><br />
A. Remove the detector from the mounting bracket by twisting it.<br />
B. Remove the battery pull strip by pulling it from the detector.<br />
Only after removing the pull strip, the detector can be used.</li>
<li><strong> INDICATORS</strong><br />
The detector contains a LED indicator to show the status of the detector. Please see below the meaning of the different LED<br />
indications.</p>

<li><strong>DOWNLOAD APP</strong><br />
To connect the detector with a Z1 Zigbee bridge or ICS-2000, first, get the App by scanning the QR code or go to <a href="http://trust.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">trust.com/</a> Zigbee and install it.</li>
<li><strong>CONNECT DETECTOR</strong><br />
A. In the App, select a room, press the + button and choose Trust Zigbee line/ Smoke detector and follow the instructions. For manual set up of push-notifications go to the rules tab, press the + button, and select notification wizard.</li>
<li><strong>MOUNT THE DETECTOR</strong><br />
A Mount the bracket of the detector on a flat surface on the ceiling and secure it with the included screws.<br />
B<strong> 1</strong> Place the detector on the mounting bracket.<br />
<strong>2</strong> Secure the detector by twisting it on the bracket to lock it.</li>
<li><strong>TEST MODE</strong><br />
Activate the test mode of the detector to check the operation by pressing the Test/Stop button. The LED will flash fast and the detector will sound.</li>

<strong><img decoding="async" src="https://usemanuals.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Warnning.webp" /> Warning:</strong> This step will disconnect the detector from the Z1 Zigbee Bridge or the ICS-2000. To reset the detector press the button in the hole at the side for approximately 5 sec with the included pin. The LED will flash 6x to confirm the reset.<br />
<strong>Activate connect mode:</strong> After resetting the detector you can activate the connect mode by pressing the button in the hole on the side for approx.<br />
2 sec. The LED will flash fast for 1 minute to indicate the connection mode.<br />

A. Open the battery compartment by removing the detector from the bracket.<br />
B. Remove the empty battery and insert a new 3V CR123A lithium battery in the compartment. Note the positive and negative polarity.<br />
C. Lock the detector back on the bracket. Test if the battery is placed correctly by activating the test mode.<br />
(See step 6).</p>
