Note:
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon zinc), or rechargeable (nickel cadmium) batteries.
For maximum performance in normal conditions we recommend using good quality alkaline batteries.
If the battery power is low, there will be low battery icon showing on the base station display.
Please note: each time the batteries (inserted into either base station or remote sensor) are replaced or base station/ remote sensor lost connection, make sure to follow the below synchronization process to pair and re-connect the base station and remote sensor:
NOTE: If you have additional remote sensors, when you synchronizing remote sensors with the base station, the unit will keep changing from channel to channel in the first three minutes, after that you can select any channel you like or auto-scroll mode.
NOTE: Although the remote sensor is designed to be proof, the remote sensor must be always placed upwards so that rain won’t get inside the sensor through the vent holes on the bottom of the senor which functions to let the remote sensor detect the environmental temperature and humidity more precisely and quickly.

Congratulations on your purchase of the Professional Remote Food Thermometer a programmable radio frequency food thermometer. You will now be able to remotely monitor the temperature of cooking food and the temperature inside your grill, oven, or smoker from anywhere in your home.
ºF/ºC/ – Press once to turn on or off the transmitter. Press and hold for 2 seconds to select the transmitter temperature display in ºC or ºF.
Open the battery compartment of the receiver and insert two “AAA” batteries with correct polarity. Open the battery compartment of the transmitter and insert two “AAA” batteries with the correct polarity.
Press the button on the receiver to turn on/off the receiver;
Press the ºF/ºC /button on the transmitter to turn on/off the transmitter.
The transmitter and receiver were already paired at our manufacturing facility. Usually, you do NOT need to re-synchronize or re-pair the units. You just plugin the probes, insert batteries, turn on the receiver and the transmitter and wait for a few seconds, you will see the temperatures shown on both receiver and transmitter, and the units are ready for use.
However, in some unusual cases, the transmitter and receiver are no longer paired, then you may need to re-synchronize them by following the below steps:
a. Insert the stainless steel probes into the corresponding plugs in the transmitter.
b. Turn on the transmitter by pressing the ºF/ºC /button. The transmitter will show the current temperatures on its LCD display.
c. Turn on the receiver by pressing the button.
d. Press and hold the Mode button on the receiver for 2~3 seconds to enter the synchronization mode which will last for 60 seconds. The display shows “—” and it is flashing.
e. Wait for a moment until the temperature reading shows on the receiver display, it means the synchronization/Pairing is complete. Your professional remote cooking thermometer is now ready for use.
Note: The synchronization between the transmitter and the receiver won’t be lost even if you replace the batteries.
If the receiver is taken out of range or there is abnormal external interference or after shutting off the transmitter, the receiver may not be able to receive the transmission from the transmitter. If this happens for over 4 minutes, the unit will alert you the signal is lost. Pressing any button on the Receiver will stop the Loss Link beep.
To regain the transmission signal, move the receiver closer to the transmitter, the link should be automatically restored and the temperatures should appear on the receiver display.
The receiver will turn off automatically if it hasn’t received the temperature signal from the transmitter for more than 30 minutes, a beep will sound for one minute before it shuts down. However, the Auto-Off feature will be automatically disabled if the timer is running.
Measure meat temperature to USDA doneness temperature range
Note: The LO BBQ temperature alarm will not be activated until the actual BBQ temperature goes above the set LO temperature.
The following typical example will go through the steps to have the Professional Remote Cooking Thermometer alert you when you cook two pieces of beef steak at the same time with one piece of beefsteak to be cooked to medium (USDA doneness level) and the other piece of beefsteak to be cooked to medium well (USDA doneness level).

Thank you for purchasing the ThermoPro TP30 Infrared Thermometer. This easy- to-use device lets you conveniently and accurately measure surface temperatures from a distance without the need of any direct contact.
Surface Temperature Measurement NOTE: The ThermoPro TP30 cannot measure the temperature of objects Behind glass. Inaccuracy may also Occur when exposed to steam, dust or any other contaminants in the air.
The emissivity of a material is its efficiency in emitting thermal energy. Non-reflective surfaces have a higher emissivity (closer to 1) than reflective surfaces (closer to 0). Inaccurate results may occur when measuring reflective surfaces such as glass, polished wood, and granite. To take accurate temperature measurement of reflective surfaces with low emissivity, place a strip of masking tape over the surface and allow for it to adjust to the temperature of the surface for approximately 30 minutes. Measure the surface, scanning the taped section, eliminating the issue of inaccuracy.
The default emissivity of this device is 0.95, which is suitable for surface temperature measurement of most organic materials and painted objects. If you would like to improve the measurement accuracy of different objects, you can refer to the emissivity table below :
Objects | Emissivity | Objects | Emissivity |
Aluminum | 0.30 | Iron | 0.70 |
Asbestos | o.9s | Lead | o.5o |
Asphalt | 0.95 | Limestone | 0.98 |
Basalt | 0.70 | Oil | 0.94 |
Bt888 | 0.50 | Paint | 0.93 |
Brick | 0.90 | Paper | 0.95 |
carbon | o.8s | Plastic | o.95 |
Ceramics | o 9s | Rubber | 0.95 |
Concrete | o.9 s | Sand | 0.90 |
Copper | 0.95 | Skin | 0.98 |
Sludge | 0.94 | Snow | 0.90 |
Frozen food | 0 9 0 | Steel | 0.80 |
Hot food | 0 93 | Fabric | 0.94 |
Glass | 0.85 | Water | 0.93 |
Ice | 0 98 | wood | 0.94 |
Distance-Spot Ratio
The ThermoPro TP30 measures surface temperature base dontheis{anceto spot diameter ratio (D: S). As the distance between the thermometer and the surface increases, the total surface area measured will also increase. With a distance to spot ratio of 12:J, the surface area measured has a diameter of roughly 1/J 2 the distance.
For the most accurate results, make sure the target has a surface area of twice the corresponding spot diameter. Insufficient surface area will result in inaccurate results. The recommended distance to hold the thermometer from the surface of measurement is 7.87inch (20cm) away from the surface. This creates a spot measurement area of 0.6óinch(J.67cm) in diameter.
Distance (D) to Spot (S) size D:S=12:1
Low Battery Indication will appear on the Upper Display when the thermometer’s batteries are running low. Immediately replace the batteries when the icon appears.
The device certification information is labeled directly on the device. The sticker is located on the left side of the thermometer The device warning and aperture safety information are also labeled directly on the device; this sticker is located on the right side of the thermometer.
