PLUGGING IN THE STANMORE II

IMPORTANT: ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE MAINS LEAD, POWER JACK AND SPEAKER
ARE COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR MAINS SUPPLY AND WALL SOCKET.

1. CONNECT THE MAINS LEAD INTO THE MAINS INPUT ON THE SPEAKER.
2. CONNECT THE POWER JACK TO THE WALL SOCKET.

TURNING THE STANMORE II ON/OFF

1. ON: PULL AND HOLD THE  POWER LEVER  TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE SPEAKER UNTIL THE POWER-ON SOUND PLAYS AND THE  INDICATORS LIGHT UP.
   OFF: PULL AND HOLD THE  POWER LEVER  TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE SPEAKER UNTIL THE POWER OFF SOUND PLAYS AND ALL INDICATORS TURN OFF.

SETTING UP THE STANMORE II

CONFIGURE THE SPEAKER WITH THE MARSHALL BLUETOOTH ® APP TO GET THE MOST OUT OF IT. THE APP IS AVAILABLE FROM THE APP  STORE AND GOOGLE PLAY.

1. DOWNLOAD THE MARSHALL BLUETOOTH ® APP AND FOLLOW THE IN-APP INSTRUCTIONS.

SELECTING AUDIO SOURCE

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO CONNECT TO YOUR STANMORE II, EITHER WIRELESSLY OR BY CABLE.

• WIRELESS Bluetooth CONNECTION
• AUX – 3.5 mm STEREO JACK
• RCA – DOUBLE RCA (LEFT AND RIGHT) JACKS

1. PUSH THE  SOURCE  BUTTON TO TOGGLE BETWEEN Bluetooth, AUX, AND RCA AUDIO SOURCE.
2. A LIT INDICATOR SHOWS WHICH SOURCE IS SELECTED.
   THE SOURCE CAN ALSO BE SELECTED FROM THE  MARSHALL BLUETOOTH ® APP.

CONNECTING VIA Bluetooth (PAIRING)

1. SELECT Bluetooth AS THE INPUT. PUSHING THE  SOURCE  BUTTON TOGGLES THE INPUT SOURCES.
2. PUSH AND HOLD THE  SOURCE  BUTTON FOR 2 SECONDS.
   THE Bluetooth INDICATOR STARTS TO BLINK.
3. ENABLE Bluetooth ON YOUR DEVICE (SMARTPHONE, TABLET, COMPUTER).
4. SELECT  STANMORE II  FROM THE Bluetooth LIST AND ACCEPT PAIRING.
   THE Bluetooth INDICATOR ON THE SPEAKER STOPS BLINKING AND REMAINS LIT WHEN THE UNITS ARE CONNECTED.
   STANMORE II CAN BE CONNECTED TO TWO Bluetooth DEVICES AT THE SAME TIME.
   PLAYING A CONNECTED Bluetooth DEVICE WILL MAKE IT THE SELECTED AUDIO SOURCE, PAUSING ANY PREVIOUSLY PLAYED AUDIO ON THE  SECOND DEVICE.

CONNECTING VIA AUX INPUT

1. CONNECT A 3.5 mm STEREO JACK TO THE INPUT LABELLED  AUX  ON THE TOP OF THE SPEAKER.
2. CONNECT THE OTHER END OF THE LEAD TO THE AUDIO OUTPUT ON YOUR AUDIO SOURCE.
3. SELECT AUX AS THE INPUT. PUSHING THE  SOURCE  BUTTON TOGGLES THE INPUT SOURCES.

CONNECTING VIA RCA INPUT

1. CONNECT A LEAD WITH RCA JACKS TO THE INPUTS LABELLED  RCA  ON THE BACK OF THE SPEAKER.
2. CONNECT THE OTHER END OF THE LEAD TO THE OUTPUT ON YOUR AUDIO SOURCE.
3. SELECT RCA AS THE INPUT. PUSHING THE  SOURCE  BUTTON TOGGLES THE INPUT SOURCES.

ADJUSTING THE VOLUME/BASS/TREBLE

THE STANMORE II INCLUDES THREE CONTROLS FOR ADJUSTING THE AUDIO.

PLAY/PAUSE CONTROL

THE STANMORE II HAS A PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON TO CONTROL THE MUSIC WHEN PLAYING VIA Bluetooth.

1. SINGLE-CLICK TO EITHER PLAY OR PAUSE.
2. DOUBLE-CLICK TO SKIP FORWARD.
3. TRIPLE-CLICK TO SKIP BACK.

COUPLE SPEAKERS

TWO ACTON II, STANMORE II OR WOBURN II SPEAKERS CAN BE COUPLED TO ACT AS ONE SOUND SYSTEM. THERE ARE TWO MODES TO CHOOSE FROM:

• AMBIENT MODE  – TWO SPEAKERS PLAY THE SAME AUDIO SYNCHRONISED. EACH SPEAKER PLAYS BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT CHANNELS.
  CHOOSE THIS MODE IF YOUR SPEAKERS ARE PLACED AT DIFFERENT HEIGHTS, DIRECTIONS,S OR AREAS OF THE ROOM.
• STEREO MODE  – TWO SPEAKERS OF THE SAME SIZE ARE COUPLED AS A STEREO PAIR. WITH ONE SPEAKER ON THE LEFT CHANNEL AND THE  OTHER ON THE RIGHT.
  CHOOSE THIS MODE IF THE SPEAKERS ARE PLACED AT THE SAME HEIGHT, EQUAL DISTANCE, AND FACING THE SAME DIRECTION.

1. TO COUPLE TWO SPEAKERS, OPEN THE  MARSHALL BLUETOOTH ®APP AND CONNECT TO YOUR SPEAKERS.
2. GO TO A COUPLE OF SPEAKERS  AND FOLLOW THE IN-APP INSTRUCTION.

STANDBY MODE

IF THE STANMORE II IS LEFT UNUSED FOR 20 MINUTES THE SPEAKER GOES INTO STANDBY TO SAVE ENERGY. IN THIS MODE ALL INDICATORS  ARE OFF.

1. INTERACT WITH ANY BUTTON OR KNOB ON THE TOP PANEL TO WAKE THE SPEAKER UP FROM STANDBY MODE.

 CONTROL KNOB

 CHARGING

Place the headphones with the right ear cap facing down on a wireless charger or connect them to a power source via the included USB cable to charge the battery.

 LED INDICATOR

The LED shows the battery level while charging, red through orange to green (0–100%). It blinks blue while in Bluetooth pairing mode and white while paused or searching for a device.
The LED is steady white while playing.

3 .5 mm INPUT/OUTPUT SOCKET

Share your audio by plugging in another pair of headphones.

GETTING STARTED

1. Push and hold the control knob until the LED indicator blinks blue.
2. Select Major IV from your sound device’s Bluetooth® list.

MOISTURE AND HUMIDITY

• The active loudspeaker should be located in a place free from moisture and water.
• Do not use this apparatus near water. Do not expose it to rain or dripping water. Do not splash water on it.

INSTALLATION

• Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
• No naked flame sources, such as lit candles, should be placed on the active loudspeaker.
• Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

CONNECTION

• Connect the active loudspeaker according to the instructions in the manual.
• Connect the active loudspeaker only to the correct mains voltage as shown on the equipment.
• Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit the apparatus.
• Use only power cables of the type specified in the operating instructions or as marked on the active loudspeaker. Do not substitute the separate power cable included with this active loudspeaker with any other power supply – use only the power cable provided by the manufacturer.
• Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety.
  If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.

PLUGGING IN THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH

IMPORTANT: BEFORE PROCEEDING TO POINT 001 BELOW, CHECK THE INCLUDED POWER CORD AND PLUG AND YOUR STANMORE BLUETOOTH ACTIVE STEREO LOUDSPEAKER ARE COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR MAINS ELECTRICITY SUPPLY AND ASSOCIATED WALL SOCKET.

1. INSERT THE POWER CORD INTO THE POWER JACK ON THE BACK OF THE SPEAKER.
2. CONNECT THE POWER PLUG TO THE WALL SOCKET.
3. SWITCH THE ON/OFF SWITCH TO ‘ON’ TO TURN ON THE SPEAKER.
4. THE RED BLUETOOTH INDICATOR STARTS FLASHING AS THE SPEAKER SEARCHES FOR A BLUETOOTH DEVICE.
5. TO TURN THE SPEAKER OFF, SWITCH THE ON/OFF SWITCH TO OFF.
6. ALL INDICATORS WILL TURN OFF.

CONNECTING VIA BLUETOOTH (PAIRING)

FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO PAIR THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH WIRELESSLY TO YOUR BLUETOOTH DEVICE.

1. ENSURE THAT THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH IS POWERED ON.
2. PUSH THE PAIR BUTTON.
3. THE RED BLUETOOTH INDICATOR STARTS TO FLASH RAPIDLY.
4. ENABLE BLUETOOTH FUNCTIONALITY ON YOUR DEVICE. (SMARTPHONE, TABLET, COMPUTER).
5. ON YOUR DEVICE, SELECT THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH FROM THE BLUETOOTH LIST AND ACCEPT PAIRING.
6. THE BLUETOOTH INDICATOR ON THE SPEAKER TURNS TO A STEADY RED AND THE UNITS ARE NOW CONNECTED.

BLUETOOTH AUTO CONNECTION

IF A BLUETOOTH-CONNECTED DEVICE IS MOVED OUTSIDE THE RANGE OF THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH (APPROXIMATELY 10 METRES WITHOUT OBSTACLES), IT IS DISCONNECTED. THE DEVICE IS AUTOMATICALLY CONNECTED AGAIN WHEN IT IS MOVED BACK WITHIN RANGE.

THE SPEAKER STORES UP TO SIX DEVICES AND TRIES TO CONNECT TO THE LAST CONNECTED BLUETOOTH DEVICE FIRST. FOR EXAMPLE, IF THE SPEAKER HAS BEEN CONNECTED TO THE DEVICES: A–B–C–D–E–F, DEVICE F IS GIVEN FIRST PRIORITY, WHILE DEVICE A IS GIVEN LAST PRIORITY. EVERY TIME THE SPEAKER STARTS UP, IT WILL DO AN AUTO CONNECTION OF DEVICES WITHIN ITS RANGE.

CONNECTING SOUND SOURCE VIA CABLE

THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO CONNECT TO YOUR STANMORE BLUETOOTH THE OLD-FASHIONED WAY, USING A CABLE. USE ONE OF THE TWO AUDIO INPUTS AVAILABLE: INPUT 1 – 3.5MM STEREO PLUG, INPUT 2 – RCA ANALOGUE INPUT.

• INPUT 1 – 3.5MM STEREO PLUG
  USE THE DOUBLE-ENDED COIL CORD WITH 3.5MM PLUGS TO CONNECT TO EXTERNAL AUDIO SOURCES.
• INPUT 2 – RCA ANALOGUE INPUT
  USE THE RCA ANALOGUE INPUT TO CONNECT TO YOUR CD PLAYER, TURNTABLE (WITH RIAA), OR SONOS UNIT.
  NOTE: RCA CABLE IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH AND MUST BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY.

INPUT 1- 3.5MM STEREO PLUG

1. ENSURE THAT THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH IS TURNED OFF.
2. CONNECT THE CORD WITH THE 3.5MM STEREO PLUG TO THE INPUT
   LABELLED INPUT 1 ON THE SPEAKER.
3. CONNECT THE CORD WITH THE 3.5MM STEREO PLUG TO THE MUSIC
   PLAYER AND TURN ON THE SPEAKER.
4. SELECT INPUT 1 AS THE SOURCE BY PUSHING THE SOURCE BUTTON
   UNTIL THE INPUT 1 INDICATOR IS LIT (SEE PAGE 018.).

INPUT 2 – RCA PORTS

1. ENSURE THAT THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH IS TURNED OFF.
2. CONNECT THE CORD WITH THE RCA PLUGS TO THE RCA INPUTS (LEFT AND RIGHT) ON THE BACK OF THE SPEAKER.
3. CONNECT THE OTHER END OF THE CORD TO THE RCA OUTPUT ON YOUR SOUND SOURCE AND TURN ON THE SPEAKER.
4. SELECT INPUT 2 AS SOURCE BY PUSHING THE SOURCE BUTTON UNTIL THE INPUT 2 INDICATOR IS LIT (SEE PAGE 018.).

CHOOSING YOUR SOURCE

THE INPUT SOURCE THAT IS CURRENTLY SELECTED IS SHOWN BY A LIT INDICATOR. TO SELECT A DIFFERENT SOUND SOURCE:

1. PUSH THE SOURCE BUTTON TO CHOOSE YOUR SOURCE AND/OR TO SWITCH BETWEEN CONNECTED SOURCES.
2. A LIT INDICATOR SHOWS WHICH SOURCE YOU HAVE SELECTED.

Yes they’re 100% original, the sound is amazing, however the construction materials can be better.

Can you use this for a record player

If you have a headphone jack for a 3.5mm cable, it’s fine. But the old 6.35mm (1/4 inches) needs an adapter.

Will this come in the original sealed box?

Yes !!! The box is (your going to laugh) is really collectible, it’s sealed in the Marshall logo box, that if I haven’t already stated enough………is really cool , and what’s inside is even cooler, wait, the box doubles as a beer cooler.

how can this be charge? the led is not powering up.

Yes, come with full documentation. Incredible battery life.

Is it the original Marshall or a replica?

It’s the original Marshall Major 2 Bluetooth headphones. Took 5 months for the battery to die on me (also used the cord. Direct wire connection is slightly better sound quality then Bluetooth)

Are these on-ear or over-ear headphones? The title says on-ear, but the comparison chart says over-ear. Can anyone clarify?

these are ON-EAR Bluetooth headphones. sound is great, the only downside, after a couple of hours are a little tight…but still i would buy them again

is it with a mic built-in or not? Can I use it for calling?

Yes, it has a mic built-in on the cable it is shipped with and it works perfectly for calls. The cable is removable, which is very good.

How can i be assured that i will receive a genuine product?

The item is sold by Marshall within the amazon Storefront. My headphones are legit. I have also watched videos between real and fake and it is an obvious difference. It doesn’t have any of the lag issues with the fake units as well tension on the headphone springs is strong enough to hold them in place.

GETTING STARTED

1. Open the charging case, take out the earbuds and put them in your ears.
2. Select MODE II from your sound device’s Bluetooth® list.
3. Download the Marshall Bluetooth app and follow the in-app instructions to complete the setup.

LEFT EARBUD

• 1 touch to toggle Transparency mode on/off
• 2 touches to activate your phone’s native voice assistant

CHARGING THE EARBUDS
Put the earbuds back in the case to charge them. The earbud LEDs blink white while charging and steady white when full. The earbuds can be completely recharged 4 times from a fully charged case.

CHARGING THE CASE
Use a wireless charger or plug the case into a USB power source to charge it.
The front LED lights up while charging, from red through orange to green (0–100%).

1. Place the charging case with its back flat against the wireless charging pad.
2. Make sure that the front LED lights up to indicate that the case is charging.
3. Once the LED light has turned to a solid green light the charging case is fully charged.

AUDIO ADJUSTMENTS
Mode II comes with 4 sizes of ear tips and getting the best fit is important in ensuring you enjoy the best audio experience. Take the time to find the ear tips that best fit your ear. The ear tips should fit snugly in your ear but still feel comfortable. It is not uncommon to use different sizes for left and right.
When you have selected well-fitting ear tips, fine-tune your EQ settings from the Marshall Bluetooth app to create your custom sound.

PAIRING A NEW DEVICE
Mode II remembers up to 4 previously paired devices and can reconnect with them automatically when in range. Follow the instructions below to pair Mode II with an additional device.

1. Place your earbuds in the charging case.
2. Push and hold the brass pairing button for 2 seconds, until the earbud LEDs turn blinking blue.
3. Select MODE II from your sound device’s Bluetooth list.

RESETTING THE EARBUDS
If your earbuds become erratic or unresponsive, perform a hardware reset:

1. Place the earbuds in the case.
2. Push and hold the brass paring button for 10 seconds, until the LEDs flash 3 times, to reset the headphones.

If the problem persists, perform a factory reset.
Note: This will delete all user settings and after the factory reset, the headphones need to be set up again.
