Remove the protective cap from the top of the unit by
Use a screwdriver to remove the two screws from the battery compartment lid and remove the lid.
Insert 3 “M” alkaline batteries in the battery compartment with the (-) terminals of the batteries toward the (-) spring contacts in the battery
• Note: Be sure that (+) and (-) terminals on each battery match the (+) and (-) contacts shown on the compartment and the line drawing.
• Caution: Do not mix new and old batteries. Do not mix alkaline and standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
Replace the battery compartment lid and while holding in place, switch the unit on to test the operation. If the unit lights up, you can secure the lid with the two

• Note: In timer position, Lantern will turn off automatically after eight hours and turn back on again the next day at the same time. The timer cycle may be interrupted when batteries need to be replaced.

Lantern can be turned off and on manually by using the slide switch or run automatically.
Replace the protective cap and hang the lantern inside or outside in the desired location.
• Note: Remove the batteries and store it indoors during periods of non-usage.
• Warning: For adult use only. This item contains small parts that can be swallowed by children.
