FAST WAN AND LAN CONNECTION

The CGNVM-3582 has the capacity to receive 1.2Gbps (32×8) over its DOCSIS interface with thirty-two bonded channels. The integrated Wi-Fi 4×4 5GHz 802.11ac Wave 2 MIMO and 3×3 2.4GHz 802.11n dual band access point significantly improves customer experience extending range and coverage with blazing speeds. For wired clients, the four Gigabit Ethernet ports offer ultra-fast connections. MoCA 2.0 provides another extension option.

IPV4/IPV6 DUAL STACK SUPPORT

The CGNVM-3582 supports full IPv4 routing features, as well as full support for IPv6 routing and firewall. The CGNVM-3582 supports both DSLite as well as 6RD for different IPv6 deployment and transition strategies.

EASY SECURE WIRELESS NETWORKING

The CGNVM-3582 supports pre-configured and pre-enabled Wi-Fi security via Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), allowing the end-user to rapidly set up a secure wireless network without manual configuration. Hitron’s AutoSync software provides secure automated setup of extenders in the customer’s home or business.

Wi-Fi Modem Self-Connect Guide

  • Connect the supplied coaxial cable to the wall plate
  • Connect the other end to the modem
  • Ensure the connectors are as tight as you can possibly make them
  • Plug in the supplied power cord to the modem
  • Plug the other end of the power cord into the wall
  • Lights should come on
  • Wait 5 minutes.

  • Connect your cable (network) to your PC, if you need to, with the supplied Ethernet/ Network Cable
  • Search for the Wi-Fi connection, if applicable, which is labelled on the back of the modem (network name, SSID, etc)
  • Insert the supplied password
  • Test connectivity
  • In a small number of cases, the modem may reboot after 15 minutes. This is normal, however, if the modem lights do not look the same as above, please call us
  • If the lights look like this after 5 min try another outlet (location).

QUICK START GUIDE

STEP 1: Look in the box and make sure you have the following:


The Hit ron CODA-4582/ 4682/ 4782 is an application gateway that provides wired and wirel ess high-speed Int ernet access as well as optional MoCA (Multimedia over CoaxAlliance) net working to the Ethernet -enabled devices in your home f or a fast and easy home entert ainment network.

Connect to a Cable Outlet

STEP 2: Use a coaxial cabl e (not included) to connect the device’s CABLE connect or to a cable outlet.

Connect to a Power Outlet

STEP 3: Use t he power cord provided t o connect t he POWER port to a power outlet.

Connect to an Ethernet -Equipped Device (Optional)

STEP 4: Use the Ethernet cable provided to connect one of the LAN ports to an Ethernet -equipped device.

User Configurat ion (Optional)

STEP 5: In a web browser, enter 192.168.0.1 in the address bar followed by Username and Password, as below.

Connect wit h Wireless Devices (Optional)

STEP 6: Connect your wirel ess devices wit h t he correct SSID and Passphrase. If you have not changed them, the default values are indicated on the sticker on the back of the unit.
Connect your wirel ess devices wit h t he WiFi Prot ected Setup (WPS). Access the configuration interface (seestep 5), enter the Wireless page to enable WPS and set Encrypt Mode to AES, then press Save Changes. Press this button to begin the WPS Push-Button Configuration (PBC) procedure. Press the PBC button on your wireless clients in the coverage area within two minutes to enable them to join the wireless network.

Setup Complete

STEP 7:Congratulations! You have successfully setup your CODA-4582/4682/4782. If you have any problems, see the section below for help in identifying the cause.

IP Addresses

If the CODA-4582 is successf ully connected to the network (see LED Display) but you cannot access the Int ernet from a connected computer, your computer’s IP Address may be setup improperly. In your computer’s network settings, ensure that it is configured to either receive an IP address automatically (recommended) or that it has a static IP address in the 192.168.0.10~192.168.0.254 range. For more information, consult your operating system’s Help documentation.

User Guide

  • Connect to the internet
  • Connect phone

Check the contents of the box

Step 1 Make sure you have the following:

Connect the coaxial cable to the connector

Step 2 Connect the coaxial cable from the cable outlet to the connector of the device.

Step 3 Connect the power adaptor to the power port and switch to “ON”.

Connect the phone to the voice port

Step 4 Use the phone cord to connect your phone to the Voice Port and wait for a dial tone before the wing.

Connect your computer to the device

Step 5 Use the Ethernet cable that comes with the device to connect your computer to one of the LAN ports

User configuration (optional)

Step 6 Your device has a configuration interface that allows you to fully control the behavior of the device. In a web browser, enter the IP of the device in the address bar and make sure that your PC is on the same subnet as deice. On the screen that appears, enter the username and password.

Connect your computer to the wireless network

Step 7 Connect the wireless devices with the correct SSID and password. If they have not been changed, the default values are indicated on the sticker on the back of the equipment.
Connect your wireless device with WPS unction. Enter the setting interface (refer to step 6), Enter the Wireless page to Enable WPS, and set the AES encryption mode, then press Save changes.

Press this button to start the WPS Push Button (PBC) setup process. Press on the PBC button of your wireless clients within the coverage area within the two minutes allowed to join the wireless network.

Installation complete

Step 8 Congratulations! You have successfully configured your CGNV5. If you have a problem, see the next section for help identifying the cause. IP Address If the CGNV5 successfully connects to the network (see LED Panel) but you cannot access the internet from a connected computer, it is possible that the IP address of your computer is not configured correctly. In the network settings of the computer, make sure that is it configured to receive an IP address automatically (recommended) or that is has a static IP address in the range 192.168.1.2 – 192.168.1.253. For more information, see the help documentation for your operating system.

The Hitron CDA 30360 Cable Modem is a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem. After the cable modem is successfully registered on the network, the Power and Status indicators illuminate continuously to indicate that the cable modem is online and fully operational. For more details, refer to the Modem Lights section.

The Hitron CDA 30360 has the following ports available on the back of the modem:

  • POWER – Connects the cable modem to the power adapter
  • CATV – Connects to the cable wall outlet
  • ETH – Connects to the Ethernet port on your computer or home network

MAC Address

MAC addresses are written as 12 digits containing both letters and numbers (0-9, A-F). A MAC address is unique. The first six characters of the MAC address are unique to the manufacturer of the device.
