Harman Kardon Citation Surround

Citation Surround

The Citation Surround is a wireless speaker designed to provide surround sound experience with the Citation Bar. It comes with a wall mount bracket and power cord, which varies depending on the country.

Product Tour

The Citation Surround comes with the following items:

The Citation Surround has an LED Indicator Status, which indicates the following:

• Enter into pairing mode
• Wireless connected with Citation Bar
• Out of range/Lost wireless connection

The LED behavior can be flashing for 10 seconds or off. The bottom of the speaker has a reset button, which can be pressed for more than 5 seconds to reset the speaker.

Get Started

To set up the Citation Surround, follow these steps:

1. Place the Citation Bar in the desired location.
2. Connect the power connector of Citation Surround to the power source.
3. Select Speaker Setup on the Citation Bar and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the Citation Surround wirelessly.

Wall Mount

To mount the Citation Surround on the wall, follow these steps:

1. Remove the rubber feet from the bottom of the speaker.
2. Mount the wall bracket on the wall using screws.
3. Feed the power cord upward through the wall mount and connect it to the power connector.
4. Place the speaker in the wall mount with the supplied screws on the bottom.
5. Use the nut at the bottom of the wall mount bracket to angle the speaker and tighten it.

How to manually upgrade my soundbar

You can download the latest software version by clicking here and bin file exist after unzipped:

• JBL_BAR_9_1.bin

1.  Prepare one empty USB thumb drive and create new folder (named “UPG”) in root directory, then copy the bin file to the new UPG folder.
2. Please mount the two detachable speakers onto the main soundbar
   
3. Please insert the USB thumb drive to the Soundbar USB port on its rear panel and long press Soundbar buttons: [POWER] and [VOL- ] for 10 seconds to start software upgrade.
4. You will now see “UPDATING” on the Soundbar front display.
5. Wait for the software upgrading to complete. The unit will reboot and go back to standby.
6. After successful upgrading, you can now check the software version (refer to steps in “Q1”), the soundbar should be upgraded to version “ver. 21.23.11.80”.

Note:

• If your soundbar is connected to the internet, its software will be automatically upgraded overnight when it is not in used.
• This software upgrade is not applicable for JBL Bar 9.1 China version.

Citation ONE is intended to be used for streaming music. A consumer can stream Bluetooth audio to the speaker. A consumer can connect their speaker to the local Wi-Fi Network and stream music with Google Chromecast. In addition, the speaker will work with Google Home.
