Fisher-Price Power Wheels Racing ATV Owner’s Manual

with Assembly Instructions

Please read this manual and save it with your original sales receipt.

Adult assembly is required.

Tool needed for assembly:

Phillips screwdriver (not included).

Requires 1 – 12V, 12 Ah, non-spillable, sealed lead acid battery (included).

Requires 1 – 12V charger (included).

CONSUMER INFORMATION

Read this manual carefully for important safety information and operating instructions before using your vehicle. Keep these instructions for future reference, as they contain important information.
Age: 3-7 years. Weight Limit: 29,5 kg (65 lb).
Your new vehicle requires adult assembly. Please set aside at least 45 minutes for assembly.
The Parts pages and the Assembly instructions begin on page 6.
Use this vehicle ONLY outdoors. Most interior flooring can be damaged by riding this vehicle indoors. Fisher-Price® will not be responsible for damage to the floor if the vehicle is used indoors.
Use ONLY a Power Wheels® battery and charger with this product. Use of any other battery or charger will damage your vehicle.
Before first time use, you must charge the battery at least 18 hours (but no more than 30 hours). Please see the Battery Charging section for detailed instructions.
The battery charger is not a toy.
Your Power Wheels® 12 volt battery is equipped with a built-in thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is a self-resetting safety device which automatically “trips” and shuts down operation of the vehicle if the vehicle is overloaded or the driving conditions too severe. Once a fuse has “tripped”, remove your foot from the pedal and wait approximately 25 seconds before operating the vehicle again. To avoid repeated automatic shut-downs, avoid severe driving conditions.
If a thermal fuse in a battery continually trips under normal driving conditions, please call us at 1-800-348-0751 (US and Canada) or 59-05-51-00 Ext. 5206 or 01-800-463-59-89 (México).

These authorized service centers will repair or replace parts under warranty at no extra charge, and can perform non-warranty repairs for a minimal charge. VEHICLE USE

WARNING

Prevent injuries and deaths

Direct adult supervision required.
Never ride at night.
Keep children within safe riding areas. These areas must be:
- away from swimming pools and other bodies of water to prevent drownings.
- generally level to prevent tipovers.
- away from steps, steep inclines, cars, roads and alleys.
Riding rules – Make sure children know and follow these rules for safe driving and riding.
- Always sit on the seat.
- Always wear shoes.
- Only 1 rider at a time.

BATTERY USE

KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
DO NOT OPEN BATTERY.

WARNING

To prevent injury.

Do not make direct contact between battery terminals, as this can cause an explosion or fire.
Only adults should charge batteries.
Battery can fall out and injure a child if vehicle tips over. Always use battery retainer.
The battery must be handled by adults only. The battery is heavy and contains sulfuric acid (electrolyte). Dropping the battery could result in serious injury.

To prevent fire.

Do not operate the vehicle near flammable vapors (gasoline, paint thinner, acetone, etc.). The vehicle’s electrical switches and motors emit an internal spark which could cause an explosion or fire.
Examine the battery, charger and their connectors for excessive wear or damage each time you charge the battery. If damage or excessive wear is detected, do not use the charger or the battery until you have replaced the worn or damaged part.
Never modify the electrical system. Alterations could cause a fire.
Use only a Power Wheels® battery and charger. Other batteries or chargers could cause a fire or explosion.

BATTERY CHARGING

Adults note: Periodically examine this battery charger for damage to the cord, housing or other parts that may result in the risk of fire, electric shock or injury. If the battery charger is damaged, do not use it.

Make sure you charge the battery for at least 18 hours using the enclosed Power Wheels® 12 volt charger before operating your vehicle for the first time. Charge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use of the vehicle.
You do not need to remove the battery from your vehicle to recharge it. Never charge the battery longer than 30 hours. Failure to follow these instructions may damage your battery and will void your warranty.
Before charging the battery, examine the battery case for cracks and other damage which may cause sulfuric acid (electrolyte) to leak during the charging process. If damage is detected, do not charge the battery or use it in your vehicle. Battery acid is very corrosive and can cause severe damage to surfaces it contacts.
Do not place the battery on a surface (such as kitchen counter tops) which could be damaged by the acid contained inside the battery. Take precautions to protect the surface on which you place your battery.
Charge the battery in a well ventilated area.

Please identify all parts before assembly and save all packaging material until assembly is complete to ensure that no parts are discarded.
Metal parts have been coated with a lubricant to protect them during shipment. Wipe all metal parts with a paper towel to remove any excess lubricant.
Wipe the surface of each part with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dust or oils.

ASSEMBLY

WARNING

Children can be harmed by small parts, sharp edges and sharp points in the vehicle’s unassembled state, or by electrical items. Care should be taken in unpacking and assembly of the vehicle. Children should not handle parts, including the battery, or help in assembly of the vehicle.

Carefully turn the vehicle over.
Slide the rear axle through the holes in the back of the vehicle.

Slide a rear wheel driver, gear side first, onto the rear axle. Fit the gears to the gearbox on the back end of the vehicle.
Slide a wheel, flat side first, onto the rear axle.
Fit a rear rim onto the rear axle.

Fit a 2,5 cm washer onto the rear axle.

Insert the straight end of a ring pin through the hole in the rear axle.
Lift the ring end of the pin and then rotate it over the axle.

“Snap” a hubcap to the rear rim.

Repeat steps 2-5 to assemble the other rear wheel driver, rear wheel, rear rim, washer, ring pin and hubcap to the rear axle.

Lift and pull to rotate the front axles completely towards the front of the vehicle.

Slide a 1,1 cm washer onto the front axle.
Slide the small bushing, ring end first, onto the front axle.
Slide the large bushing, ring end first, onto the front axle.

Slide a wheel onto the front axle.
Fit a front rim onto the front axle.

Fit a 1,1 cm washer onto the front axle.

Insert the straight side of the clip through the hole in the front axle.

“Snap” a hubcap to the front rim.

Repeat steps 8-12 to assemble the remaining washers, bushing, wheel, front rim, wire clip and hubcap to the front axle.

Fit the rear fender assembly to the back end of the vehicle.
Carefully turn the vehicle upright.

Insert six M4,5 x 1,9 cm screws into the rear fender assembly and tighten.

Insert the steering column into the opening in the top side of the vehicle and out through the hole in the steering linkage underneath the vehicle.

Carefully turn the vehicle over.
Fit the steering column cap onto the end of the steering column.

Insert an M4,5 x 1,9 cm screw through the hole in the steering column cap.
While holding the steering column cap in place, tighten the screw.

Slide the steering plate behind the steering linkage and onto the steering column.

Insert two M4,5 x 1,9 cm screws into the steering plate and tighten.

DECORATION

Place the labels exactly as shown in the illustrations. For best results, avoid repositioning a label once it has been applied to the vehicle.

BATTERY INSTALLATION

Push the battery retainer against the side of the vehicle.

Place the battery upright in the battery compartment.

Plug the motor harness connector into the battery. Push firmly.
Slide the battery retainer back into place over the battery to secure it.

Fit the tab at the front of the seat into the slot near the drive buttons A.
“Snap” the tab at the back of the seat into the slot near the rear of the vehicle B .

SAFE DRIVING RULES

WARNING

Before children use this vehicle, an adult should carefully evaluate the driving area as well as the child’s skill level and ability to drive the vehicle safely. Teach appropriate safety rules to your child before allowing operation of this vehicle. These rules should also be reviewed with other playmates who want to drive the vehicle.

Use vehicle on grass, asphalt (and other hard surfaces) and generally level ground ONLY!
A child who is not sitting on the seat could fall off, cause a tip over or block the driver’s view.
Only operate the vehicle in the daytime in a well-lit area.
Driving near steep inclines can cause:
- The vehicle to gain unsafe speed, even if the pedal is released to stop.
- The vehicle to tilt and tip over.
- The wheels to lose traction, causing the vehicle to slip.
- The vehicle could roll backwards at an unsafe speed.
To prevent unsupervised use of the vehicle, disconnect the motor harness from the battery when the vehicle is not in use.

VEHICLE OPERATION

Help your child practice steering to learn how far and how quickly to turn the handlebar when driving, and knows how to stop.

Yellow Button – Low Speed

Press the yellow low speed button on the tank.
Press the foot pedal. The vehicle moves forward at a maximum of 4,8 km/h (3 mph).

Red Button – Reverse

IMPORTANT! To prevent damaging the motors and gears, teach your child to stop the vehicle before switching direction.

Press the red reverse button on the tank.
Press the foot pedal. The vehicle backs up at a maximum of 4,8 km/h (3 mph).

Green Button – High Speed

Before allowing your child access to the green high speed button, make sure your child knows how to steer, start and stop the vehicle, and knows the safe driving rules.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen and remove the high speed lockout cover.

Press the green high speed button on the tank.
Press the foot pedal. The vehicle drives forward at a maximum of 9,6 km/h (6 mph).

12V BATTERY CARE AND DISPOSAL

BATTERY CARE

If a battery leak develops, avoid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged battery in a plastic bag. See next section for proper disposal.
Do not allow the battery to run down completely before charging.
Charge the battery before storing the vehicle, and at least once per month, even if the vehicle has not been used.
Charge the battery after each use, regardless of how long the vehicle was used.
Leaving the battery in a discharged condition will ruin it.
Do not store the battery in temperatures above 24° C (75° F) or below -23° C (-10° F).

Protect the environment by not disposing of this product or any batteries with household waste. This symbol indicates that this product shall not be treated as household waste. Check your local authority for recycling advice and facilities.

BATTERY DISPOSAL

CONTAINS SEALED LEAD BATTERY. BATTERY MUST BE RECYCLED.
Recycle or dispose of the battery in an environmentally sound manner.
Do not dispose of a lead acid battery in a fire. The battery may explode or leak.

For customers in the USA or Canada: This product contains a rechargeable/recyclable lead acid battery. You can help preserve our environment by returning your used lead acid battery to the collection and recycling location nearest you.

VEHICLE CARE

Check all screws, fasteners and their protective coverings regularly and tighten as required. Check plastic parts on a regular basis for cracks or broken pieces.
During snowy or rainy weather, store the vehicle inside or under a protective cover. Charge the battery at least once per month while your vehicle is not in regular use.
Avoid operating the vehicle in wet or snowy conditions, and do not spray the vehicle with a hose. Do not wash the vehicle with soap and water. Water or moisture in the motors or electrical switches can cause them to corrode, and could cause switch or motor failure.
Avoid operating the vehicle on sand, loose dirt or gravel. Sand, loose dirt or gravel in the motors or electrical switches can cause them to jam, and could cause switch or motor failure.
Wipe the vehicle with a soft, dry cloth. For a shiny finish, use a non-wax furniture polish and soft cloth. Do not use automotive wax.

Slide the power switch to ON or OFF.
Press the vibration button to turn vibrations on. Press again to turn it off.
Press the music or sound effects button to play sounds. Press again to turn music or sounds off.

WARNING

IMPORTANT! Before assembly and each use, inspect this product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts, or sharp edges. Do not use this infant bouncer if it is damaged or broken. Do not use accessories or replacement parts other than those approved by the manufacturer.

Setup and Use

Securing Your Infant

Place your child in the seat. Position the restraint pad between your child’s legs.
Fasten the restraint belts to the restraint pad.
Make sure you hear a “click” on both sides.
Check to be sure the restraint system is securely attached by pulling it away from your child. The restraint system should remain attached.
Tighten each waist belt so that the restraint system is snug against your child. Please refer to the next section for instructions to tighten the waist belts.

To tighten the restraint belts:
• Feed the anchored end of the restraint belt up through the buckle to form a loop A . Pull the free end of the restraint belt B .
To loosen the restraint belts:
• Feed the free end of the restraint belt up through the buckle to form a loop A . Enlarge the loop by pulling on the end of the loop toward the buckle. Pull the anchored end of the restraint belt to shorten the free end of the restraint belt B .

Battery Installation

IMPORTANT! Low battery power causes this product to operate erratically: no vibrations and the product may not turn off. Remove and properly dispose of the batteries and replace them with three new C (LR14) alkaline batteries.

Unfasten the pad straps on the back of the pad around the soothing unit A .
Pull to remove the pad from around the tabs and the soothing unit B .
Remove the pad bottom pocket from the footrest C .

For longer life, use alkaline batteries.

Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door. Remove the battery compartment door.
Insert three C (LR14) alkaline batteries into the battery compartment.
Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw.
Pull and fit the pad seat bottom pocket around the soothing unit and footrest.
Fasten the pad straps on the back of the pad around the soothing unit. Make sure you hear a “click”.
If this product begins to operate erratically, you may need to reset the electronics. Slide the power switch off and then back on.

Battery Safety Information

In exceptional circumstances, batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your product. To avoid battery leakage:

Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable.
Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.
Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the product. Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of the product in a fire. The batteries inside may explode or leak.
Never short-circuit the battery terminals.

Care Mantenimiento

The pad and infant support are machines washable. Wash them separately in cold water on the gentle cycle. Do not use bleach. Tumble dry separately on low heat and remove promptly.
The frame, toy bar, and toys may be wiped clean using a mild cleaning solution and damp cloth. Do not immerse the frame. Do not use bleach. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners. Rinse clean with water to remove residue.

To remove the pad:

Unfasten the straps on the back of the seat.
Remove the bottom pocket of the pad from the footrest.
Lift to remove the pad.
To replace the pad, refer to Assembly steps 6 – 10.

Assembled Parts

IMPORTANT! Please remove all parts from the package and identify them before assembly. Some parts may be packed in the pad.

Note: Shown actual size. Tighten or loosen all screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten the screws.

Assembly

Place the base tube on a flat surface.
Position the left and right base wires, as shown.
Fit the left base wire and right base wire into the base tube.

Position the feet so the non-skid surface is down.
With the peg side facing inward, fit the feet to the base tube.
Insert a screw through the outside of each foot and tighten.

Push the soothing unit until it “snaps” into place.
Position the footrest so that the soothing unit is upright.
Fit the footrest onto the ends of the base wires.

Fit the seat back onto the ends of the base wires.
Push the seatback to be sure it is completely on the base wires.

Place and hold a connector to a bare wire, as shown.
Insert a screw through the seat back, base wire, and into the connector. Tighten the screw.
Repeat this procedure to assemble the other connector to the other side of the seatback tube.
Pull the seatback tube up to be sure it is secure. If you can remove either end of the seatback tube, you have not assembled the connectors correctly. Remove the screws, reread and repeat Assembly steps 4 and 5.

Fit the upper pocket on the back of the pad onto the seatback.

Lift the footrest. Fit the lower pocket on the back of the pad onto the footrest.

Fasten the pad straps on the back of the pad around the soothing unit. Make sure you hear a “click”.

Fit the opening on each side of the pad around the tabs on each side rail.
Fit the opening in the front edge of the pad around the front of the soothing unit.

Place the infant support on top of the pad.
Insert the restraint pad through the slot in the infant support. Make sure the restraint pad is not twisted.
Insert the restraint belts through the slots in the infant support.

While pressing the button on the toy bar, fit the hub onto the toy bar and push to “snap” it in place.
Hint: The hub is designed to fit onto the toy bar one way. If it does not seem to fit turn it around and try again.

Insert and “snap” the toy bar into the toy bar socket.
Hint: The toy bar is removable. Press the button to release the toy bar.

WARNING

Prevent serious injury or death from falls or strangling in the restraint system:

Never leave child unattended.
This product is not intended to replace a crib or bassinet for prolonged periods of sleep.
Always use the restraint system.
Discontinue use of product when infant attempts to climb out (approximately 9 months).
Never use on any elevated surface. Use only on a floor.

IMPORTANT! The weight limit for this product is 25 lb (11,3 kg). If your child weighs less than 25 lb (11,3 kg), but is really active and appears to be able to climb out of the swing, immediately discontinue its use.

Battery Installation

Loosen the screws in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver and remove the battery compartment door.
Insert four C (LR14) alkaline batteries into the battery compartment.
Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screws.
If the swing begins to operate erratically, you may need to reset the electronics. Slide the power switch off and back on.

Note: When battery power is low, the power LED flashes six times. If this should happen, replace the batteries with four C (LR14) alkaline batteries.

Using the Restraint System

- Place your child in the seat. Position the restraint pad between your child’s legs.
- Insert the ends of the waist belts through the slots in the shoulder belts.
- Fasten the waist/shoulder belts to the restraint pad. Make sure you hear a “click” on both sides.
- Tighten each waist belt so that the restraint system is snug against your child. Please refer to the next section for instructions to tighten the waist belts.
- To tighten the waist belts: Feed the anchored end of the belt up through the buckle to form a loop A. Pull the free end of the belt B. Repeat this procedure to tighten the other belt.
- To loosen the waist belts: Feed the free end of the belt up through the buckle to form a loop A. Enlarge the loop by pulling on the end of the loop toward the buckle. Pull the anchored end of the belt to shorten the free end of the belt. Repeat this procedure to loosen the other belt B.
To tighten the shoulder belts: Hold the adjuster A and pull the front shoulder strap down B.
To loosen the shoulder belts: Slide the adjuster down.
Note: After adjusting the belts to fit your child, make sure you pull on them to be sure they are securely fastened.

Swinging, Vibrations, Music and Sounds

Swing

Slide the power switch ON. The power LED turns ON.
Press the swing speed buttons to select any of six speed settings. The swing speed LEDs light up to indicate the speed selected.
To stop swinging, slide the power switch OFF.

Soothing Vibrations

Press the vibrations button to turn soothing vibrations ON. Press the button again to turn vibrations OFF.

Music and Sounds

Press the music/sounds button to turn music/sounds ON. Press the button again to select different music/sounds.
Music/sounds turn OFF after approximately 30 minutes. To restart, press the music/sounds button.
Press the volume buttons to adjust the volume level. If you’d like to mute music/sounds, press the low volume button until there is no sound.

Low Battery Indicator

When you see the power LED flash six times, it’s time to change the batteries!

Parts

Please remove all parts from the package and identify them before assembly. Some parts may be packed in the pad.

Note: Tighten or loosen all screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten the screws.

Assembly

- Rotate the straight tube on each swing leg.
- Make sure you hear a “click“.
- While pressing a button on the rear cross brace, fit it into a swing leg.
- Make sure you hear a “click“.
- Repeat this procedure to insert the other end of the rear cross brace into the other swing leg.
- Turn the leg assembly over.
- Fit the front cross brace onto the swing legs.
- Insert two screws into the front cross brace and tighten.
- Turn the leg assembly upright.
- First, tilt the swing housing so the sockets are facing down.
- Then, fit the swing housing onto the free end of each swing leg. Push to “snap” in place.
- Pull up on the swing housing to be sure it is secure.
  Hint: The swing housing is designed to fit onto the swing legs one way. If it does not seem to fit, turn it around and try again.
- Fit one side of the seat onto a swing arm.
- Insert two screws into the seat and tighten.
- Repeat this procedure to assemble the other side of the seat.
- Lower the seat bottom.
- Fit the seat pad back pocket onto the seat back.
- First, lift the seat bottom A . Next, fit the lower seat pad pocket onto the seat bottom B . Then, lower the seat bottom C .
- Fasten the buckles on the side of the seat pad to the buckles on the swing arms. Make sure you hear a “click”.
- Insert the waist belts through the lowest slots in the seat pad. Make sure the waist belts are not twisted.
- Smaller Baby
  - Insert the ends of the shoulder belts through the lower slots in the seat pad back. Make sure the shoulder belts are not twisted.
- Larger Baby
  - Insert the ends of the shoulder belts through the upper slots in the seat pad back. Make sure the shoulder belts are not twisted.
- Fit the shoulder belts and waist belts through the slots in the body support.

Easy Conversion

Seat Mode

Fit the clip in the seat pad into the slot in the front cross brace.
Make sure you hear a “click“. Pull up on the clip to be sure it is secure.

Swing Mode

Press the clip on the seat pad and pull up to remove it from the slot in the front cross brace.
Fasten the clip strap to the bottom of the seat pad.

Storage and Care

IMPORTANT! Remove the batteries for long-term storage.

Place the back of the swing on a flat surface.
Press the buttons on the base 1 , and lower the legs 2 .

Hint: You need to press both buttons at the same time.

Next, rotate the legs to the back of the swing 3 .
Then, lift the seat bottom 4 .
Lean the swing frame against a wall for storage.
To remove the pad, unbuckle the straps on the side of the pad. Remove the restraints from the pad.
Machine wash the pad and body support in cold water on the gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Do not use bleach. Tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly.
To clean the frame, restraint system and toys, use a mild cleaning agent and damp cloth. Rinse with clean water to remove residue.
To replace the pad, follow the assembly instructions.
Periodically check the swing for loose fasteners or broken parts and tighten as needed.

Battery Installation

Insert four “D” (LR20) alkaline batteries into the battery compartment.
Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screws.
Low battery power may cause this product to operate erratically (no movement/no sounds) and the product may not turn off. If this should happen, remove and discard all batteries and replace them with four, new “D” (LR20) alkaline batteries.

Battery Safety Information

In exceptional circumstances, batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your product. To avoid battery leakage:

Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).
Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.

Assembly

IMPORTANT! Before assembly and each use, inspect this product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts or sharp edges. DO NOT use if any parts are missing or broken. Contact Fisher-Price® for replacement parts and instructions if needed.
Never substitute parts.

Lift both base tubes.

Position the hubs with the smooth side out.
Fit the hubs onto the base tubes.
Hint: The hubs are designed to fit the base tubes one way. If the hubs do not fit on the base tubes, check to be sure the smooth The side is out.
Push the hubs down until you hear a “click”.
Pull up on the hubs to be sure each is secure.
Position the footrest tube so that it curves down.
Fit the ends of the footrest tube into the wide slots in the hubs.
Position the seat back tube so that it curves down.
Fit the ends of the seatback tube into the narrow slots in the hubs.

• Insert a #8 x 1 1/4″ (3.2 cm) screw into each hub and tighten.

Position the pad onto the frame assembly. The extra, padded portion should be toward the seatback tube.
Fit the upper pocket on the pad around the seatback tube.
Fit the lower pocket on the pad around the footrest tube.
Fasten the straps underneath the footrest tube to secure the lower portion of the pad.
Push down on the pad to be sure it is assembled properly. If the pad falls through the frame, you have not assembled it properly.
Please re-read these instructions and re-assemble the pad.

Fit the restraint belts through the slots in the headrest pad.
Fit the headrest pad to the liner/pad.

Fit the toy bar plugs into the frame sockets.

Securing Baby

Place your child in the product. Position the restraint pad between your child’s legs.
Fasten both restraint belts to the buckles on each side of the restraint pad. Make sure you hear a “click” on both sides.
Check to be sure the restraint system is securely attached by pulling it away from your child. The restraint system should remain attached.

To tighten the belts: Feed the anchored end of the restraint up through the buckle to form a loop A. Pull the free end of the restraint B.
To loosen the belts: Feed the free end of the restraint up through the buckle to form a loop A. Enlarge the loop by pulling on the end of the loop toward the buckle. Pull the anchored end of the restraint to shorten the free end of the belt B.
Please Note: After adjusting the restraint system to fit your child, make sure you pull on it to be sure it is securely fastened.

Set-up

Seat Position

Adjust the seat position for the baby’s comfort.
Lift the fabric skirt near the seat back of the frame.
Upright: Fasten the liner/pad buckles. Make sure you hear a “click”.
Recline: Unfasten the liner/pad buckles.

Swinging Direction

Adjust the seat to change gliding motion to Side-to-Side or Head-to-Toe.
Turn the seat for the baby’s comfort.

Starting Gliding Motion

Make sure your child is properly secured in the seat.
Slide the power/speed switch to slow or fast

Hint:. In most cases, the slow setting works best for a smaller child, while the fast setting works best for a larger child. If gliding stops while using the slow setting, try the fast setting.
Give the seat a light push to start the gliding motion again.

Be sure to turn this product off when not in use. Slide the power/speed switch to the offsetting
For best performance, make sure this product is used on a completely level surfaceO.

Note: If gliding motion is slow in one direction (and you hear a winding or grinding noise), you may be using this product on an inclined surface. Use this product only on a completely level surface.

Music

Choose the style of music for the baby. Slide the music switch to:
Soothing
Playful
OOff
Slide the volume switch tofor low volume; for
high volume.

Room-to-Room Portability

Make sure your child is properly secured in the glider.
Grasp both handles, as shown, and lift.
Carefully carry the glider to another room. Be sure to set the glider down only on the floor.

Care

The liner/pad and headrest pad are machines washable. Wash them separately in cold water on the gentle cycle. Do not use bleach. Tumble dry separately on low heat and remove promptly.
The frame and toy bar may be wiped clean using a mild cleaning solution and a damp cloth. Do not immerse the frame.
To remove the liner and headrest pad:
Feed the restraint belts back through the slots in the headrest pad.
Pull to remove the headrest pad.
Lift the fabric skirt near the footrest of the frame.
Unfasten the liner/pad buckles. Pull to remove the liner/pad bottom pocket from the footrest tube; pull to remove the liner/pad upper pocket from the seatback tube.
To replace the pad: refer to Assembly steps 5-9.

Light-up, musical toucan!

“Snap” toucan into the top of the hub.
Hint: Toucan is designed to fit into the hub one way. If it does not seem to fit, turn it around and try again.
Lift to remove toucan for take-along fun!
Fasten the straps on the mirror to an arch.

Power/Volume Switch

Mode Switch

Slide the power/volume switch on the toucan to ON with low volume , ON with high volume , or OFF .
Slide the mode switch to:
Short Play – Baby enjoys lights, sound effects and a short tune.
Long Play – Listen to about 20 minutes of music and a light show.
When toucan is attached to the gym, baby’s movement when batting at the hanging mobile or toys on the arches activates sound effects, lights and music.
For take-along fun, remove the toucan from the gym. Shaking toucan or pressing toucan’s wing starts the fun!

Assembly and Setup

Remove the arch feet from the slots in the mat.
“Snap” the the peg on the arch with mobile into the hub on the other arch.
Note: This step is a one-time assembly. “Snap” the leaves into the hub on the arches.
Lay the mat on a flat surface with the decorated side up.
Fit the arch feet into the slots in the mat.

Battery Installation

For longer life, use alkaline batteries.

Locate the battery compartment door on the toucan.
Loosen the screws in the battery compartment door and remove the door.
Insert two AA (LR6) alkaline batteries.
Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screws.
If this toy begins to operate erratically, you may need to reset the electronics. Slide the power/volume switch off and back on.
When sounds/lights become faint or stop, it’s time for an adult to change the batteries.
