Power on/off

  • The earbuds will power on when the case is opened.
  • The earbuds will power off when placed in the case and the case is closed.

Charge

  • Charge the earbuds
  • Place the earbuds in the case and close the case for charging.
  • Charge the charging case
  • Connect the case to the power source with the included charging cable for charging.
  • Red light steady lit = charging
  • Red light off = fully charged
  • Battery level indicator on the charging case
  • Open the charging case to show its battery level:
    the ice blue light flashes three times at a normal speed: 66%~100%
    the ice blue light flashes twice at a normal speed: 33%~66%
    the ice blue light flashes once at a normal speed: 10%~33%
    the red light flashes rapidly: low battery level, please charge the case in time.

User guide

  • Bluetooth connection

  • Place the earbuds in the case, press and hold the button on the case for around 3 seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing, and the ice-blue light and the white light of the  earbuds will flash alternately;
  • Set the mobile phone to search for and connect to “HECATE GX07”, after pairing is successful, the white light will be steady lit in music mode and the ice blue light will be steady lit in game mode.
  • TWS pairing of the left and right earbuds & clear pairing records
    Place the earbuds in the case, double click the button on the case to enter the TWS pairing of the left and right earbuds and to clear pairing records, and the white light will flash rapidly; After pairing is successful, the earbuds will auto-enter Bluetooth pairing, and the ice-blue light and white light of the earbuds will flash alternately.
  • Functional operation

Accept/end a call: double click the left or right earbud
Noise cancellation mode switch: double click the left earbud
Sound mode switch: triple-click the left earbud
Pause/play: double click the right earbud
Next track: triple click the right earbud

Note:

  • Noise cancellation mode switch: noise cancellation mode(not available when only one earbud is used), normal mode, ambient sound mode.
  • Sound mode switch: music mode, game mode.
  • Wearing detection function
  • Music control: Remove one earbud from ear to pause music; there will be no action when inserting earbud to ear (default state, the users can customize settings through the EDIFIER CONNECT APP);
  • Noise cancellation control: Insert the two earbuds into ears to enable noise cancellation mode and remove them to disable noise cancellation mode;
  • You can also set or close the wearing detection function through the EDIFIER CONNECT APP.

FAQs

When charging the charging case, the indicator is off.

  • Please ensure the charging case is correctly connected with the power source.

No sound

  • Check if the earbuds are operating.
  • Check if the earbud’s volume is at an appropriate level.
  • Check if the earbuds are correctly connected to the mobile phone.
  • Check if the earbuds are operating within a normal working range.

The call quality of the earbuds is not good.

  • Check if the mobile phone is in an area with a strong signal.
  • Please ensure the earbuds are within effective distance (10m) and no
    obstacle between the earbuds and mobile phone.

When playing music, cannot control pause/play/next track via the earbuds.

  • Please ensure the paired device support AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) profile.

The tapping function is too sensitive or not sensitive.

  • Please ensure you are tapping within the effective area with moderate intensity or at an appropriate angle. You can also adjust to the desired tapping sensitivity through the EDIFIER CONNECT APP.

After one earbud alone is connected to another mobile phone, there is no sound from the other earbud when used again.

  • When one earbud alone is connected to another mobile phone, the interconnection between the left and right earbuds may have been disconnected. To restore the two earbuds mode, double click the button on the case to resume interconnection between the left and right earbuds. Then try again.

There is a delay problem when playing games.

  • Please triple click the left earbud to switch to game mode and then start playing a game.

Wearing detection function is not sensitive or too sensitive.

  • To ensure every wearing of the earbuds by the user can be recognized, the recognition of wearing detection has been slightly raised. If they are not used, please place the earbuds back into the case for charging and storage; it is better not to place the earbuds alone in the pocket or on the desk for long periods of time, so as to avoid interference with the wearing detection function or missing of the earbuds. You can also set the wearing detection function to other functions or close it through the EDIFIER CONNECT APP.

Maintenance

  • If it is not used for long periods of time, please charge the product with a lithium battery every three months.
  • Keep the product away from humid places to avoid affecting internal circuit. Do not use the product during intense exercise or with much sweat to prevent sweat from dropping into the product to make damage.
  • Do not put the product in places exposed to the sun or with high temperatures. The high temperature will shorten the service life of electronic components, damage batteries, and make plastic components deformed.
  • Do not put the product in cold places to avoid damaging the internal circuit board.
  • Do not dismantle the product. Non-professional personnel may damage the product.
  • Do not drop, strongly vibrate, strike the product with a hard object to avoid damaging the internal circuit.
  • Do not use drastic chemicals or cleaner to clean the product.
  • Do not use sharp objects to scratch the product surface to avoid damaging the shell and affecting facade.

User manual

Important safety instruction

  1. Please read the instructions carefully. Keep it in a safe place for future reference.
  2. Use only accessories approved by the manufacturer.
  3. Install the instrument properly by following the instructions in the device connection section.
  4. Using the product in a 0-35 ℃ environment is recommended.
  5. To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock, do not expose the product to rain or moisture.
  6. Do not use this product near water. Do not immerse the product into any liquid or have it exposed to dripping or splashing.
  7. Do not install or use this product near any heat source (e.g. radiator, heater, stove, or other devices that generate heat).
  8. Do not place any object filled with liquids, such as vases on the product; neither should any open fire, such as lighted candles be placed on the product.
  9. Do not block any ventilation openings. Do not insert any object into ventilation openings or slots. It may cause fire or electric shock.
  10. Keep sufficient clearance around the product to maintain good ventilation (minimum 5cm is recommended).
  11.  Do not force a plug into the jack. Before connection, check for blockage in the jack and whether the plug matches the jack and is oriented to the right direction.
  12. Keep the provided accessories and parts (such as screws) away from children to prevent them from being swallowed by mistake.
  13. Do not open or remove the housing yourself. It may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazardous risks. Regardless of the cause of the damage (such as damaged wire or plug, exposure to liquid splash or foreign object falling in, exposure to rain or moisture, product not working or being dropped, etc.), the repair has to be performed by an authorized service professional immediately.
  14. Before cleaning the product with dry cloth, always turn off the product and disconnect the power plug first.
  15. Never use strong acid, alkali, gasoline, alcohol, or other chemical solvents to clean the product surface. Use only neutral solvent or clear water for cleaning.

Excessively loud music may lead to hearing loss. Please keep the volume in a safe range.

Correct Disposal of this product. This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmentally safe recycling.

Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

This symbol indicates that the product is a CLASS II or double insulated electrical device with no earth requirement.
The MAINS plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.

For wireless products:

  1. Wireless products may generate shortwave radio frequencies and interfere with the normal use of other electronic devices or medical equipment.
  2. Turn off the product when it’s disallowed. Do not use the product in medical facilities, on airplanes, at gas stations, near-automatic gates, automatic fire alarm systems,s or other automated devices.

Remote Control

Point the remote control to the remote receiving window on the speaker, the optimum operational distance is 7 meters.
The displayed value in the display window will alert or blink when the system receives remote control command.

Four modes:
MONITOR mode: features a flat audio response curve, for sound with no coloration.
DYNAMIC mode: more punch, more dynamics.
CLASSIC mode: reproduces a classic HIFI sound.
VOCAL mode: human voice emphasized, singer’s position will seem closer to the listener.

  1. As the illustration shows, press remote control batteries to cover downward with thumb and follow the arrow direction to remove the cover,  uses two AAA batteries (note the “+” and “-” pole).
2. The battery’s life is normally about 6 months; please replace them when the remote control is not sensitive or the control distance is shortened.
3. Never use old and new batteries together.
Note:
1. Do not place the remote control in places that are hot and humid.
2. Do not charge the batteries.
3. Remove the batteries when unused for a long period of time to avoid
batteries leakage.
4. The batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat such as direct
sun, fire or similar.
5. Danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced. Replace only
with the same or equivalent type.

Connectivity Illustration

  1. As the illustration shows, connect speakers using a speaker connecting cable.
  2.  Connect speakers to a power source using power cable and turn the power switch on, the speakers should be ready to go.

Line In Input

  1. Connect audio source (mobile phone, tablet, etc.) to Line In 1/Line In 2 input ports (note color matching) on the rear panel of the active speaker using audio cable.
  2.  Press the “LINE 1/2” button on the remote control, or press the “Volume dial/Input selection” dial on the rear panel of the active speaker, display screen will show “LINE  1” or “LINE 2”.
  3. Play music on the connected device and adjust the settings to the desired level.

Optical / Coaxial Input

  1. Connect audio source (Blu-ray player, Set-Top Box, etc.) to OPT/COAX input port on the rear panel of the active speaker
    using fiber optic audio cable or a coaxial audio cable (not included).
  2. Press the “OPT” / “COAX” button on the remote control, or press the “Volume dial/Input selection” dial on the rear panel
    of the active speaker, the display screen will show “OPTICAL” or “COAXIAL”.
  3.  Play music on the connected device and adjust the settings to the desired level.

Note:
Only the standard PCM audio signals (44.1KHz/48KHz/96KHz/192KHz) function in optical/coaxial mode.

Bluetooth Input

1. Press the “ ” button on the remote control, or press the “Volume dial/Input selection” dial on the rear panel of the active speaker, the display screen will show “ ” .
2. Set your Bluetooth device (mobile phone, tablet, etc.) to search and connect to “EDIFIER S2000MK Ⅲ”.

Bluetooth connectivity and compatibility may differ amongst different source devices, depending on the software versions of source devices.

Troubleshooting

No sound

  • Check if the speaker is ON.
  • Try to turn up the volume using either the master volume control or remote control.
  • Ensure the audio cables are firmly connected and the input is set correctly on the speakers.
  • Check if there is a signal output from the audio source.

Cannot connect via Bluetooth

  •  Make sure the speaker is switched to Bluetooth input. If it is in other audio input modes, Bluetooth will not connect.
    Disconnect from any Bluetooth device by pressing and holding the “ ” button, then try again.
  • The effective Bluetooth transmission range is 10 meters; please ensure that the operation is within the range.
  • Try another Bluetooth device for connection.

The S2000MKⅢ does not turn on

  •  Check if main power is connected, or if the wall outlet is switched on.

Noise coming from speakers

  • EDIFIER speakers generate little noise, while the background noise of some audio devices are too high. Please unplug the audio cables and turn the volume up, if no sound can be heard at 1 meter away from the speaker, then there is no problem with this product.

Charge

  • When powered off, press and hold the multi-function button for approx. 5 seconds until the red and blue light flashes alternately, then the headphones enter pairing state.
  • Set mobile phone to search and connect to “EDIFIER W310BT”, after pairing is successful, the blue light will flash slowly.

Connect to Two Bluetooth Devices Simultaneously

  • Pair the headphones with the first device
  • Restart the headphones; press and hold the multi-function button for 5 seconds to enter pairing state and pair with the second device;
  • Operate the first device to pair with the headphones again, then they are successfully connected to two devices simultaneously.

Restore to factory settings: when powered on and not connected (or in pairing state), press and hold the volume up and volume down buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds, wait until the blue light flashes rapidly, and then the factory settings have been restored.

Red light instead of blue light flashes

The headphones are at low battery level, please recharge the headphones.

Red light is off during charging.

  • Ensure the charging device is correctly connected with the headphones.
  • When the headphones have not been used for long periods of time, the battery will enter sleep state, it needs to charge about 30 minutes and then the red light will be lit.

No sound

  • Check if the headphones are operating.
  • Check if the headphones volume are at an appropriate level.
  • Check if the headphones are correctly connected with mobile phone.
  • Check if the headphones are operating within a normal working range

The call quality of the headphones are not good.

  • Check if mobile phone is in an area with strong signal.
  • Please ensure the headphones are within effective distance (10m) and no obstacle between the headphones and mobile phone.

When playing music, cannot control pause/play/previous track/next track via the headphones.

  • Please ensure the paired device support AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile) profile

Maintenance

  • Keep the product away from humid places to avoid affecting internal circuit. Do not use the product during intense exercise or with much sweat to prevent sweat from dropping into the product to make damage.
  • Do not put the product in places exposed to sun or with high temperature. High temperature will shorten service life of electronic components, damage battery and make plastic components deformed.
  • Do not put the product in cold places to avoid damaging internal circuit board.
  • Do not dismantle the product. Non-professional personnel may damage the product.
  • Do not drop, strongly vibrate, strike the product with hard object to avoid damaging internal circuit.
  • Do not use drastic chemicals or cleaner to clean the product.

There are different size of ear tips attached in the package, please select the suitable ones to wear.

Charge

During using, if only red light flashes, it indicates the headphones are at low battery level, please use them after fully charged.

  • Charging time: around 2.5 hours for a full charging
  • Red light lit = charging Red light off =fully charged
  • Rated input: 5V 500mA

Warning: The rechargeable batteries that provide power for this product must be disposed properly for recycling. Do not dispose of batteries in fire to prevent an explosion.
