Take a picture

1. From the home screen, tap Camera .
2. Take aim and focus by tapping on the subject.
3. Tap to take the picture.

Make a video

1. From the home screen, tap Camera .
2. To switch to the video recording mode, swipe left.
3. Tap to start recording.
4. To stop recording, tap .
5. To go back to camera mode, swipe right.

Send a picture

1. From the home screen, tap Photos
2. In Photos, tap a picture and then tap .
3. Choose to send via text messaging, email, or more.

1. Push the SIM tool (included in the box) into the tray hole and slide the tray out.
2. Put the nano-SIM in the SIM slot on the tray with the contact area face down.
3. If applicable, put the memory card (sold separately) in the memory card sot.
4. Slide the tray back in.

Send a text message

1. From the home screen, tap Messaging .
2. Tap to create a new message.
3. In the To field and enter the name or number of the recipient, or select from directly the contact list below. Tap to add additional recipients.
4. After choosing all the recipients, tap .
5. Type your message in the text box.
6. Tap to send the message.

Send a picture message

1. Follow steps 1-4 above.
2. Tap to attach a file.
3. Tap Pictures or another file type to attach.
4. Tap  to send the message.

Navigating your phone

• Use your fingertip to lightly touch the screen.
• Use quick flicks of your finger to swipe up, down, left or right on the touch screen.
• Tap the home key at any time to return to the main home screen.
• Tap the back key to return to the previous screen.
• Tap recent apps key to access recently used apps.
• Tap and drag your finger from the bottom of the screen upward to access applications on your phone.

Notification panel

Access app alerts, new messages and emails, software updates and more!

• Tap and drag your finger from the top of the screen downward to see the Notifications panel.
• With the Notifications panel open, tap the top of the screen again and drag down to expand the quick settings menu.
• Tap to access the Settings menu.

Notification dots

A small dot will appear on app icons if you have a notifcation, but have not attended to it yet.

• Tap and hold the icon to display available options
• You can then tap the notification to open it or swipe to dismiss it
• Navigate to the Settings menu, then tap
  Apps & notifications > Notifications to turn notification dots off.

Email setup (GmailTM, etc.)

1. From the home screen, tap Gmail .
2. You can select the address connected with your Google account or tap Add an email address.
3. After adding all the accounts, tap TAKE ME TO GMAIL.

Create and send an email message

1. From the home screen, tap Gmail.
2. Tap to create a new email.
3. In the To box, type in an address, or tap > Add from Contacts.
4. Type in a subject and message.
5. To add an attachment, tap an make your selection.
6. Tap  to send the message.

Set wallpaper

• Press and hold a blank part of the home screen and tap Wallpapers.
• Select a source for your new wallpaper, make your selection, and then tap Set Wallpaper to update your screen. You may choose whether it appears on the lock screen, homescreen, or both.

Add to home screen

• To add app shortcuts, tap and drag from the bottom of the screen to access applications. Press and hold the desired app and drag it to the home screen.
• To add widgets, press and hold a blank part of the screen and tap Widgets. Press and hold the desired widget and drag it to the home screen.

Organize home screens

• To move a widget or app shortcut press and hold it, and then drag it to a new location. To delete, drag it to the X Remove.
• To create a folder press and hold an app shortcut, drag it on top of another app, then release.
• To rename a folder, tap the folder, then tap the folder name and type a new name.

Face Unlock lets you conveniently unlock your device by simply looking at the display.

Set up Face Unlock

1. From the Settings menu, tap Security > Face Unlock.
2. Choose a backup screen lock method and follow the steps to set up.
3. Tap Add face data and follow the prompts on the screen to record your face.

Now you are ready to use Face Unlock. Simply hold your locked phone up to your face to unlock and access your apps and data.

Camera and Video

Take a picture

1. Press the Camera key on the right side of the phone, Take a picture Navigation ring to scroll to Camera , press OK
2. Press Right Menu to access the Camera options.
3. Use the top and bottom Navigation ring to zoom in or out.
4. Press OK to take a picture. After taking the picture, press Left Menu to preview.

Take a video

1. Follow step 1 above and then use the Navigation ring to scroll right to select Video mode.
2. Press OK to start and stop recording video.

View pictures

1. From the Home screen, press OK and then use the Navigation ring to scroll until Gallery is highlighted. Press OK to select Gallery .
2. Press OK to view the selected picture.

Phone setup

1. Remove back cover by gently pulling up on the indentation on the bottom left of the cover.
2. Press down the clip and insert the SIM card or micro SD card (not included) by carefully sliding them with the gold contacts facing into their respective slots located inside the battery compartment.
3. Insert the battery, making sure the gold contacts align. Gently push down on the battery until it clicks into place.
4. Replace the back cover, pressing firmly on the sides to ensure the cover snaps back into place.

Note: To avoid damage to the phone, only use the SIM card included in the box or provided to you by Cricket.

Personalize

Set wallpaper

1. From the Home screen, press OK to open up the App Menu.
2. Use the Navigation ring to scroll down and to the right until Settings is highlighted. Press OK to select Settings .
3. Use the Navigation ring to scroll right to the Personalization tab, and then scroll down to Display and press OK to select.
4. Press OK once more and then scroll down to select from the image locations, for example, Wallpaper. Press OK to select.
5. Use the Navigation ring to scroll through images. When you have one you like, press Right Menu to save your new Home screen wallpaper.

Connectivity

Connect your Bluetooth device

1. From the Home screen, press OK and use the Nagivation ring to scroll until Settings is highlighted. Press OK to select.
2. Use the Navigation ring to scroll to Bluetooth under the Network & Connectivity tab and press OK to select.
3. Press OK when On is highlighted to turn on Bluetooth.
4. Use the Navigation ring to scroll to Nearby Devices and press OK to start searching for devices to pair.
5. Once your desired Bluetooth device shows in the list, scroll to it and press OK to select. If asked, confirm the PIN to complete pairing.
6. Once your device is paired, it will show up in the Paired Devices list in the Bluetooth menu.

Connect to Wi-Fi network

1. Follow step 1 above. Use the Navigation ring to scroll to Wi-Fi under the Network & connectivity tab and press OK to select.
2. Press OK when On is highlighted to turn on Wi-Fi.
3. Use the Navigation ring to scroll to Available Networks and press OK to see available Wi-Fi connections.

Use the Navigation ring to scroll until your desired Wi-Fi is highlighted, Press OK to select.

1. Use the Navigation ring to scroll to Password and use the keypad to enter Wi-Fi password.
2. Press Right Menu to Connect

Lock and unlock your screen

Create a passcode

1. From the Home screen, press OK .
2. Use the Navigation ring to scroll down and to select Settings and press OK to select.
3. Use the Navigation ring to scroll and highlight the Privacy & Security tab.
4. Use the Navigation ring to scroll down until Screen lock is highlighted. Press OK to select Screen lock.
5. Within the Screen lock menu, use the Navigation ring to scroll down until Screen Lock is highlighted. Press OK to select Screen Lock once again.
6. Use the Navigation ring to scroll up until On is highlited. Press OK to select On to enable Lock screen with passcode.
7. Create a 4 digit passcode using the dial pad, and enter this passcode again to confirm the passcode.
8. Press Right Menu to Create. To lock the phone screen Closing the phone will lock the screen .

To unlock the phone screen Open the phone and enter your passcode using the dial pad to unlock the screen.

Mobile Web

Browse the web

1. From the Home screen, press OK and use the Navigation ring to scroll until Browser is highlighted. Press OK to select.
2. Press Left Menu to select Search, then use the keypad to enter either search criteria or a website address. Press OK to search or load the website.
3. Use the Navigation ring to scroll around the webpage, and use OK to select links when browsing the webpage.
4. Press End/Power or Back/Clear to return to the main menu.

Calls and Voicemail

HD Voice

HD Voice means clearer conversations with reduced background noise. Make a call

1. Enter the phone number then press Call/ Answer to place the call.
2. If you make a mistake, press Back/Clear to delete the incorrect digits.
3. You can also press Call/Answer to access your call log. Use the Navigation ring to scroll down and select the desired number. Press OK to place the call.
4. During the call, you may press Left Menu to mute or press OK to enable the speaker.
5. To end the call, press End/Power .

Check voicemail: Simply press and hold 1key .

Text and picture messaging

Send a text message

1. On the keypad, press Messages to enter Messages or press OK and use the Navigation ring to scroll down until Messages is highlighted. Press OK to select Messages .
2. Press Left Menu to create a New message.
3. Enter the phone number of the recipient in the To bar or press Right Menu to add a contact.
4. Scroll down to the Message bar using the Navigation ring to compose the message.Press Left Menu to Send the text message.

Send a picture message

1. Follow steps 1-5 above
2. Press Right Menu to access the options menu, then select Add attachment.
3. Select Gallery to choose your desired picture or Camera to take a picture to attach.
4. Using Navigation ring to scroll to the image you would like to attach. Once the image is highlighted, pressing OK and confirm by pressing Right Menu
5. Once your image has been attached, press Left Menu to send the message.

Google and Other Apps

To access any of the following apps from the Home screen, press left on the Navigation ring and scroll up or down to select the desired app. Press OK to open the app.

Google Assistant: Allows you to make calls, send messages, open an app or perform other commands all with your voice.

• Open Google Assistant using the above instructions or by long pressing OK for at least three seconds, and speak your voice command out loud. For example, say “Call Henry,” and your device will automatically call “Henry” from your Contacts.

Google Maps: Find locations on a map, search for businesses nearby and get directions.

• Open Google Maps and use the Navigation ring to scroll down to Your location. Press OK to allow the device to get your location automatically. Get turn by turn directions by selecting Directions, entering your destination, starting location and mode of transportation.

YouTube: Enjoy movies, TV shows, and popular video clips.

• Open YouTube and use the Navigation ring to scroll through the videos available on the homepage. Or use the Navigation ring to select Search, enter search criteria and browse the results.

KaiStore: Download apps and games to fulfill the needs of daily life, work and entertainment.

• Open KaiStore and use the Navigation ring to scroll through the library of available apps. For example, find Weather under the Utilities tab, scroll to the app and press OK to download and install. Once installed, you can locate your new app in the app menu.

Setting Up Your Phone

Install a Nano SIM/microSD card*

1. Insert the SIM Card Tray Pin into the card tray slot and remove the SIM card tray.
2. Place the Nano SIM card and microSD card (Not included) into the tray.
3. Gently slide the card tray back into the slot.

Charge using the AC adapter

1. Connect one end of the data cable to the USB port located on the bottom of your phone.
2. Connect the other end to the power adapter.
3. Connect the power adapter to an electrical outlet to fully charge your phone.

WARNING!
To avoid damage to the phone, do not use any other kind of SIM card or any non-standard Nano SIM card cut from a SIM card. You can get a standard Nano SIM card from your service provider

Using the Touch Screen

• Swipe up on the screen to unlock.
• Use your fingertip to lightly tap the screen.
• Use quick flicks of your finger on the touch screen to swipe up, down, left and right.
• Spread two fingers apart or pinch them together on the screen to zoom in or out on a web page or Gallery image.
• To return to the previous screen, tap the Back key .
• Tap the Home key at any time to return to the main Home screen. Press and hold the Home key to access Google Assistant.
• Tap the Recent apps key to access recently viewed apps.
• Swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen to access applications on your phone.

Notification panel

1. Swipe down on the Status bar to open the Notification panel.
2. Swipe left or right on a notification to delete it, or tap CLEAR ALL to clear all event-based notifications (other ongoing notifications will remain).
3. From the Notification panel, swipe down again to access the Quick Settings panel. Tap a setting to turn it on/off, or tap Settings to access full Settings.

Personalizing Your Screen

Set your wallpaper

1. Press and hold an empty space on the Home screen and tap Wallpapers.
2. Select a wallpaper and tap Set wallpaper. Choose to set the wallpaper for the Home screen, Lock screen, or both.

Add apps and widgets

1. To add an app to the Home screen, swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen to access the Apps drawer. Press and hold an app, then drag it to any Home screen.
2. To add a widget, press and hold an empty space on the Home screen and tap Widgets.
3. Press and hold a widget, then drag it to the Home screen.

Organize your Home screens

1. Press and hold the app, widget, or folder.
2. Drag the item to the desired position and then release.

Create app folders

1. From the Home screen, press and hold an app, then drag it over to another app to create a folder.
2. Drag more apps to the folder to add them.
3. To name or rename the folder, open the folder, tap the title bar, and enter the desired name.

Calls and Voicemail

Make a call

1. To make a call, tap Phone from the Home screen.
2. Enter the number using the dial pad, or choose a contact from the Contacts , Recent , or Favorites tab and tap the number to place the call.

Check voicemail

1. From the Home screen, tap Phone > Dialer .
2. Press and hold the 1 key , then follow the prompts to set up your voicemail.

Use call waiting

1. While on a call, you will hear a tone if another call comes in. Swipe up to accept and place the current call on hold, or swipe down to reject the call. The caller will be sent to voicemail.
2. Tap to merge calls or tap the other call to switch between active calls.

Easily Adjust Settings

Swipe up from the Home Screen and tap Settings .
Quick Settings

1. Swipe down from the Home screen to view the Notification panel.
2. Swipe down again to see the Quick Settings menu.
3. Tap a setting to turn it on or off.

Text and Picture Messaging

Send a text message

1. From the Home screen, tap Messaging .
2. Tap to create a new message or start a new group chat.
3. Type your message and tap to send the message.

Send a picture message

1. From the Home screen, tap Messaging .
2. Tap to create a new message or start a new group chat.
3. Type your message. Tap to add picture files to a message. Tap to snap a photo, or touch Gallery to select photos or to add a voice message.
4. Tap Send to send the message.

Email

1. Swipe up from the bottom to open the Apps drawer, then tap Gmail .
2. Follow the steps to set up your account.

Create and send an email message

1. Tap from the Inbox screen to compose a new message.
2. Enter the recipient(s) email address in the To field. To add a carbon copy or blind carbon copy, tap .
3. Enter the subject and content of your message. To add attachments, tap select Attach file.
4. Tap to send.

Note: To set up a corporate email account, contact your IT administrator.

Useful Features

Flashlight: Swipe down from the Status bar to open the Quick Settings panel. Tap Flashlight to turn it on or off.
Battery Saving Mode: Swipe down on the Status bar to open the Quick Settings panel. Tap Battery Saver to turn it on or off.
Data Saver: Data Saver helps to reduce data usage by preventing some apps from sending or receiving data in the background. To use Data Saver, go to Settings > Network & internet > Data usage. Tap Data Saver to turn it on or off.

Apps on Google Play™

Access Google Play

1. From the Home screen, tap Play Store .
2. Enter your existing Google™ account login or create one following the steps on the screen.

Navigate Google Play

1. Tap a category to browse apps, games, movies, and music organized by popularity or category.
2. Tap the Google Play search bar to search the Play Store for a specific game or app.
3. To install, tap the app and follow the instructions. Once installed, you will see a notification in the Notifications panel. Open the app from this notification or by locating it in the apps drawer.

Note: A payment method such as Google Wallet is required to purchase apps.

Camera and Video

Take a picture

1. From the Home screen, tap Camera .
2. Position the object or landscape in the viewfinder.
3. Tap to take the picture. It will be automatically saved to Photos.

Make a video

1. Touch Video and tap in the bottom center of the screen to start recording a video.
2. Tap to stop recording. The video will be automatically saved.

Share a picture or video

1. From the Home screen, tap Photos
2. Tap a photo or video, and then tap Share and select an option for sharing.
