CHRONOMICS Rapid SARS-COV-2 Antigen Test Sample Collection Contents Technical Bulletin (this leaflet, a quick guide to the Instructions for Use) Disposable swab Extraction buffer sachet Test tube with cap Lateral flow cassette Instructions for Use Before You Get Started Please read the instructions carefully prior to use and follow them strictly. Reliability of the assay cannot be guaranteed if there are any deviations from the instructions for use. After the specimen is collected, it should be processed with the buffer provided as soon as possible. Do not open the pouch until ready to perform a test. Use the test under low environment humidity and within 1 hour of packaging opening. Bring all the reagents and specimens to room temperature (10-30°C) before use. You will need internet access to register the QR code on your cassette. If you do not register your QR code, we will be unable to process your results. Ensure all components are to hand before collecting the sample. Instructions Step 1: Unseal the foil pouch and put the cassette on a clean, dry and level surface. Step 2: Register your kit online at www.chronomics.com/register and enter the QR code found on your cassette. Step 3: Open the swab package carefully and remove the swab. Insert the swab into the nasal cavity, gently turn and push the swab into the nasal cavity until it is blocked at the turbinate (about 2.0-2.5cm from the nostril). Rotate the swab three times against the wall of the nasal cavity and remove the swab. Step 4: Use the same swab to sample the other nostril in the same way to ensure that you get enough sample. Step 5: Carefully twist or snap open the extraction buffer sachet. Be careful not to spill any of the liquid. Step 6: Squeeze all the liquid out of the sachet and into the test tube. Step 7: Insert the fabric tip of the swab into the liquid in the test tube, and rotate it against the inner wall of the test tube about 10 times to dissolve the specimen in the solution as much as possible. Step 8: Squeeze the tip of the swab along the inner wall of the test tube to keep the liquid in the tube as much as possible, then remove and discard the swab. Step 9: Press the nozzle cap tightly on the test tube to avoid any leaks. Step 10: Add 5 drops of treated specimen into the “S” well of the cassette. Step 11: Start a timer or stopwatch. Wait at least 15 minutes (and 20 minutes at most) to interpret the result. Step 12: Finalize the registration of your result following the instructions found at www.chronomics.com/register Warnings and Precautions This product is intended to detect SARS-CoV-2 antigen from individuals, clinical diagnosis on SARS-CoV-2 infection should not be made only based on the results of this product. Negative results cannot rule out the possibility of exposure to or infection caused by SARS-CoV-2. All specimens with positive results must be confirmed using an appropriate test such as RT-PCR or equivalent. Do not use expired reagents or test cassettes. Do not use the swab or the cassette if the packaging is damaged or the seal is broken. Do not reuse the cassette, swab or test tube. Do not eat or smoke while handling specimens. Do not use the kit if any of the components are damaged or missing. If you have any concerns please contact us at: support@chronomics.com or 0208 146 0960. Do not touch or drink the liquid inside the extraction buffer sachet. Do not allow it to come into contact with your skin, your eyes or any external surface. If the solution makes contact with your skin, immediately wash your skin with soap and warm water. If the solution gets into your eyes, immediately wash them with water. If you experience any symptoms after contact with the liquid, seek medical help immediately. If the liquid inside the extraction buffer sachet is spilled, clean it using gloves and absorbent tissue.
