4. Fill the water tank by gently pouring water into the center opening until level reaches near the top. You can check by looking at the side of the tank.
FOR BEST RESULTS: Remove the water tank lid and place ice cubes in tank prior to filling with water, and put lid back on. This will provide an extra cold blast of air. Repeat as ice cubes melt.
3. Choose your light color by pressing button. You can choose between solid colors or a color-cycle mode. Color order: Blue, Red, Nhite, 7ea/, Purple, Yellow, Green, Color Cycle
IMPORTANT: If you do not plan to use Arctic Air Pure Chill” for an extended period of time, it is recommended that you empty and let unit & filter dry before storing. This will avoid mold and unpleasant smells, and prolong life of Arctic Air Pure Chill” and the filter.
We recommend weekly cleaning of your Arctic Air’ Pure Chill’ and Filter to keep in best working condition and replacing the Filter every 3-6 months.
DISHWASHER: Place filter in the top-rack of your dishwasher & run cycle normally. Remove and air dry.
HAND WASH: Hand washes gently with warm water & soap. Shake out excess water & let air dry
MICROWAVE: Between washes, sanitize your filter by placing in the microwave on high for 30-second increments, up to 2 minutes. Let sit until cool.
IMPORTANT: If you see mold on the filter or notice a musty smell, stop and clean the filter before further use. Fully submerge the filter in a pot or bowl filled with equal parts clean water and white vinegar — allow to soak for 45-60 minutes. Rinse with warm water, wring out and let air dry.

Will this help cool my home office, I have ony 1 vent and it stays warm?
It really cooled my bedroom down quickly in 90 degrees weather. But was insanely loud. Sounds like an old vacuum. But during the west coast heat wave where temps were above 100-118 this was useless. Also the radius of cooling is limited. And after a few hours temp will increase. The noise makes this so hard to use. It continues after the ice has melted, and the filter has thawed.
Does it comes with a Filter
Honest answer NO this is just a plastic rectangle frame with vertical & horizontal plastic rows spaced 1-1/2″ forming a grid then has about 8 vertical 1/8 ” thick green felt pieces 1-1/4″ apart running vertical. Air flows through edge of felt leaving 1″ gaps between. It’s to wet and freeze air travels through it to cool you
What approximate area will it cool and by how many degrees (f)?
Optimal area is 45 square feet. It should cool the immediate area by about 5 degrees of the ambient temperature. This unit was not designed to cool an entire room…just your immediate area. It will humidify a d cool your immediate area.
Can I use this as a fan, without adding water?
You can, but there are better fans out there.
I bought an artic air cooler and it sucked. i sent it back ups over2 weeks ago…..where is my refund ???
These are only designed for a bedroom, mine is 10×12, and worked great during our 117 heatwave without freezing the insert.
Hi can this be plugged into a usb power bank if i buy the right usb adapter?
I use it in a usb in my camper since I don’t have regular outlets with electrical hookups only a solar panel . It works fine
How often should I change the filter?
The filter is washable so I just rinse it out real good before each use. It’s not like a fabric filter for a furnace or window unit. This one you can wet and stick in the freezer to create even colder air coming out. It’s got a plastic casing and fins and then a rubberized material attached to the fins for filtering. Unique
Is there an adapter for usb that i can purchase for this unit?
Just the power cord included powers the unit.
How long will it run before water needs refilling?
On low it will last about 8 hours. On medium or high it will be less. I fill it to the very max and i usually get about 8 hours on high cause i usually top it off before i lay down. But times will vary on how long you run it.
Does the water added to it have to be distilled?
Use any clean water and distilled if needed.
Would this be cool enough to place on the floor for little dog to lay in front of at home while I’m at work?
Yes but i dont think that it will be safe unless you have it away from the dog or the dog fenced in. Plus it shuts its self off after a long time running. I would put the filter in the frezzer over night after you soak it with water and use ice cubes with it. That should help
Is it safe to used near computers?
I used it by mine, however I would strongly suggest keeping it on a plate as it does leak water. I returned it as it did not work very well and leaked too much
Im in Florida with no ac in car. Would it be possible to use in car?
It might work if:
1. you find a way to plug this unit in your car. The one I bought did not have a USB.
2. I assume the air inside your car will be hot. The unit will use water to produce a stream of air that would be a 1-2 degrees cooler as long as there is water in the water tank. You can add iced water and/or wet and freeze the filter in the fridge overnight to get cooler air.
The bottom line is this unit is not an AC. It will make the air a bit cooler, but it will not lower to and/or keep the temperature at the pre-set level.
How do plug it in?
It has a standard wall plug.
Is it cordless?
No, not cordless.
